I’m so old that I remember working as a Waitress for $1.04/hr plus tips!

You certainly learn to multi-task, put out fires as they break out, give customer service with a smile no matter what, etc.

I was good, so I moved up to Hostess...then I joined the Army, finished college thanks to Uncle Sam, gained better skills...

...and the rest, as they say, is HISTORY!

It’s not the minimum wage rate that really matters; it’s the wanting to improve yourself, your skills and your life in general.

THAT is what the argument should be, not a dollar amount.

That’s the real minimum wage anyway, regardless of what laws are passed. Those people whose labor is worth less than the legally mandated minimum wage will make the real minimum wage.
