I’m so old that I remember working as a Waitress for $1.04/hr plus tips!

You certainly learn to multi-task, put out fires as they break out, give customer service with a smile no matter what, etc.

I was good, so I moved up to Hostess...then I joined the Army, finished college thanks to Uncle Sam, gained better skills...

...and the rest, as they say, is HISTORY!

It’s not the minimum wage rate that really matters; it’s the wanting to improve yourself, your skills and your life in general.

THAT is what the argument should be, not a dollar amount.
