Donald Trump Challenges Russia to Find Hillary Clinton’s Missing Emails
New York Times ^ | JULY 27, 2016 | ASHLEY PARKER

Posted on 07/27/2016 9:38:31 AM PDT by reaganaut1

DORAL, Fla. — Donald J. Trump said Wednesday that he hoped Russia had hacked Hillary Clinton’s email, essentially sanctioning a foreign power’s cyberspying of a secretary of state’s correspondence.

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Mr. Trump said, staring directly into the cameras. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

Mr. Trump’s call was an extraordinary moment at a time when Russia is being accused of meddling in the U.S. presidential election. His comments came amid questions about the hacking of the Democratic National Committee’s computer servers, which researchers have concluded was likely the work of two Russian intelligence agencies.

Later in the news conference, when asked if he was really urging a foreign nation to hack into the private email server of Mrs. Clinton, or at least meddle in the nation’s elections, he dismissed the question. “That’s up to the president,” Mr. Trump said, before finally telling the female questioner to “be quiet — let the president talk to them.”

The Clinton campaign immediately accused Mr. Trump of both encouraging Russian espionage against the United States and meddling in domestic politics.

“This has to be the first time that a major presidential candidate has actively encouraged a foreign power to conduct espionage against his political opponent,” said Jake Sullivan, Mrs. Clinton’s chief foreign policy adviser. “This has gone from being a mattter of curiosity, and a matter of politics, to being a national security issue.”

Mr. Trump has largely dismissed assertions that Russia was behind the Democratic committee breach as conspiracy theories — a view he reiterated again when he said the hack “is probably not Russia.”

But what is it? Hillary said it's a bunch of nothing emails. How can it be national security at stake? Trying to have it both ways, much? Trump is a genius at getting the Dems to trip over their own tongues!

How is this a “Big Blunder”?

He states he doesn’t think its Russia, then goes on to say that if Russia does have the deleted emails he would love to see them. He also says that Putin would be rewarded greatly by our press.

So he calls out the press, the FBI, the NSA, the DNC, and the Clinton campaign. He also steals the press cycle over the DNC convention and Bill Clinton’s speech.

Additionally, he has two more rallies today and a Reddit AMA to respond. It’s going to be epic.

This is the way he has been operating allllll along. He snatches the spotlight then puts his message “out there”. He maneuvers to control the narrative.

Yup. I’m absolutely amazed that even some FReepers cannot yet see the sheer brilliance of Trump.

He is trolling the Dems and the media and stealing the show in the middle of the Dem convention.

I don’t try to second guess Trump. I just sit back and enjoy the genius.

He will get 52-55 percent of the vote.

“But Hillary your dumbass emails have already been accessed and taken. Hillary and the media are idiots. You’re not dealing with Bush here.”

Not to mention the fact that if Russia does release the emails it proved her server wasn’t secure and our national security was put in jeopardy.

Most people have probably either forgotten about this, or have never heard it before:

According to Soviet documents unearthed in the early 1990’s, Kennedy literally asked the Soviets, avowed enemies of the U.S., to intervene on behalf of the Democratic party in the 1984 elections. Kennedy’s communist communique was so secret that it was not discovered until 1991, eight years after Kennedy had initiated his Soviet gambit,

It’s a lot better to get them out front and center in the public than let stupid Hillary get blackmailed in office if she happens to win the White House.

ROFL. Welcome to Trump’s world Jake. Your stupid rules do not apply here.

Are you afraid of the Russians?

I thought the tens of thousands of e-mails deleted were all about yoga...

Looks like Ashley at the slimes was forced to correct the headline from say he encouraged hacking her server. Libel that we me boys, fraud and libel. 92% of Democrats only know the NYT headlines anyway assuming that the 8% others will read and understand it for them. So headlines matter.

Trump trying to control the news cycle narrative and steal the spotlight away from the DNC, particularly when it comes to the Obama and Clinton upcoming speeches. Smart.

Clinton swears there was nothing of importance. Is she calling herself a liar?

Trump was referring to the “deleted” 30,000+ emails from Hillary’s basement server, the ones her lawyers destroyed. Hillary had her lawyers destroy all these supposedly “personal” emails about yoga and Chelsea.

Trump is exposing the lies of Hillary and the MSM. IF those are purely “personal” emails then ofc there is no national security issue about Russia looking for them.

But IF (as is now happening) the ‘Rats want to make a national security clamor about Trump’s remark, it implies that Hillary lied when she said there were no national security emails in that 30,000+ batch.

Once again, Trump proves himself the ultimate strategists.

Not sure how this will play out, but I suspect Trump is going to spring a trap on this one.

The beautiful thing is it reinforces the message that Hillary deleted all these emails.
