FLUSHING, New York, July 21, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – Macy’s department store has fired a Catholic employee because he questioned their transgender bathroom policy, even though he says he told his employer he would enforce the policy.
Back in May, Javier Chavez, a senior store detective at Macy’s Flushing, New York, location got a phone call about a male accessing the ladies room along with a female.
A female customer and her daughter were afraid to enter the restroom due the male’s presence there, and a security guard reporting to Chavez directed the man to leave and use the men’s room. The man left, claiming to be a female, before then complaining to the store officials about being asked to leave.
Chavez was later informed by a Macy’s assistant store manager that certain males can use the ladies restroom, something he had not been made aware of prior to the incident. Then an assistant security manager told Chavez that transgender individuals can use the bathroom of their choosing.
Chavez responded that he had just become aware of the policy. He said it was contrary to his religion and the Bible, but said that even so, he would enforce Macy’s policy.

Macy’s does not know their business.
EVERYTHING they sell is less expensive online or elsewhere.
I think any employer should be able to fire any employee for any reason.
My problem is that this is ok but a Catholic school can’t fire a pro-gay employee. Standards (both laws and public opinion) should be applied evenly.
A few weeks ago, I decided to gender identify as female at a Starbucks. Upon exiting the ladies room, I asked my daughter if I was supposed to sit down when I took a pee.

She noticed one of the welfare drones for whom she constantly had to cover was rehired. The government gives them some sort of a subsidy for hiring these types.
So, they basically said "Screw Customer Service" and We said "Screw Macy's". Most of the people that go through that store now are there because it has the closest to the mall parking and they can cut through on their way to other stores.
I wasn’t aware Macy’s was still in business. They shut down their store in my town not long after they kicked Trump’s men’s clothing line out.

“They used to make it up with superior service.”
That was always the reason to shop at a so-called “full-service” department store. Now, that reason is gone because it’s near impossible to find a knowledgeable employee, and sometime any employee, on the floor. Without at least a modicum of service, there is no reason to pay department store prices for anything. Department stores are in a death spiral of staff reductions and price reductions to compete with discounters and online merchants.
I’ve now added Macy’s to my “do not shop” list. I just have to get mrs riverdawg to stop shopping at Target.
When I was a little girl growing up in New Jersey I thought that Flushing was where all the turds went after you flushed.
This is the future, thought control commissars.
It was named after the town Vlissingen by Dutch settlers. Vlissingen became Vlissing, which was Anglicized to Flushing.
I’m not so sure that is wrong.
I had a gay salesman, probably in his 50’s, hit on my teenage son at Macy’s one time. The $H#$head did not realize my son was with me but he found out pretty quickly. He was scared to death of me. The look on his face when I walked up and repeated what he said (...did you just say...) was one of horror and made my son laugh out loud. The salesman just ran away. We left Macy’s and never returned.
Macy’s is a pervert magnet. Their restrooms are known for being gay hook up locations. Stay away from Macy’s.
