And of those 10, given the economic demographics and being a DC bedroom suburb, odds are some are foreign diplomats or staff and the rest highly educated black professionals. No Ward 8 bruddahs here at all.

I do not automatically think crime and black together. Or even violent crime. It all depends on where the crime takes place as to whom I automatically assume is guilty.

I’m not talking about automatically assuming, I’m talking about observing general tendencies and probabilities. And the stats are comprehensive to the U.S. overall. Stop being politically correct, it blinds you and makes you contort yourself into impossible b.s.

The point is that one can be rationally racist to a degree as a matter of general policy, based on general truths, but can still also recognize that many blacks are nonetheless superior to most whites. It’s just simple cognition of percentages, outliers, etc.

In the era of political correctness, every word uttered has a racial overtone to it when uttered by the opposition.

Absolutely correct. As you are well aware, they don’t want to talk about race, they want to tear America down and make us slaves to the communists. Nothing new. They have been working at this for about a century.

Well, exDem Mom, how much is that good neighborhood worth to you in terms of investing YOUR time, thought and $ towards that end?

I'm not sure what you mean, exactly.

When I was a kid, my family lived in a bad neighborhood for a time. I wanted the heck out of there. It took a long time, but I managed. So now I live in a decent, middle-class, mixed race neighborhood.

Minority children, sadly, are not just raised being steeped in poverty culture--when racism compounds the culture, it makes it that much harder to see any way out or even a way to be better. The problems of black poverty culture run deep, and I do not see any easy way to fix them. How do you impose a work ethic on people who reject such ethic because it is "acting white"?

Through long years of debate at 2400 baud up to high speed, I’ve learned to check people’s history. Often, people are looking for a reaction — any reaction.
