During MSNBCs coverage of the RNC on Thursday night, anchor Chris Matthews stated that the phrase law and order carries a racial tone to it.

Because blacks commit half the violent crime.
It’s possible I’ve misunderstood you partially. If in fact you’re racist to a rational extent, then you have honesty and your head screwed on straight.
I am the guy who constantly posts “Figgers” when our feral friends act up.
And I would not term myself a ‘racist’, but more of a ‘rational observer of reality’.
A true racist would not have friends that are of color. I do, since those people I befriend are those who act in societal norms. Some of the best professional co-workers I know happen to be of other races. I hold zero against them. In fact, one fellow is actually the smartest person in my field I have ever met!
It is the ferals I disparage.
“Law and order”
is just as racist as:
“Keep your hands where I can see them”
“Get a job”
“Get off the street corner and stop selling drugs.”
“Stop hanging with gang bangers”
“Are you gonna step up and take care of yo children?”
“Sponging off the welfare state is immoral.”
“Progressive” has a mental illness tone to it.
Right, but specific individuals whose character are known to one are exceptions to comprehension of the general, the aggregate, the unknown quantities that give us the statistical distribution patterns, standard deviation, bell curves, etc. That’s why profiling is moral, necessary, and right — when operating with little or incomplete information about specific individuals, one must go on rates of probability.
“Law And Order” Has “A Racial Tone To It”.......
You bet it does and if the shoe fits, wear it.
Yeah, Chrissy....PRESIDENTIAL RACE...and Trump’s going to win.
Did he just call Dick Wolf a racist?
Chrissy’s tingle has shorted out. He has nothing left but fear. Sorry Chrissy, the party’s over.
Actually he’s correct, but not for the reason he’s trying to offer.
I think "bad neighborhoods" is way more racial code that "law and order." Chrissie.
Says one of the DEMOCRAT plantation operatives
Chrissy’s gone from a tingle up his leg to a warm trickle down his leg.
That was meant to be the black criminal element and its silent (and not-so-silent) community of supporters. Rather like those elusive moderate Muslims, the ones that don’t want to kill you themselves, but dance in the streets when their co-religionists do so.
That is because liberals think “crime”=”African American”. These people are all crazy.
We’re ready for an honest discussion on race Chris Matthews... come on over...

A truly honest discussion of race would mention that for virtually every kind of crime, blacks are perpetrators in numbers wildly out of proportion to their number in the national population. For instance, young black males constitute no more than one to three percent of all Americans, yet they are responsible for over 50 percent of all murders.
A truly honest discussion of race would mention that police officers generally are more likely to shoot unarmed white suspects than blacks, while black and Hispanic officers are more likely than their white counterparts to shoot unarmed black suspects.

A truly honest discussion of race would mention that blacks shoot police officers at an astronomically higher rate than that at which officers have shot black suspects.
A truly honest discussion of race would mention that while black-on-black crime is indeed epic, the rate of black-on-white crime is nearly as high: Of the 560, 600 crimes of violence involving blacks and whites, blacks were perpetrators 84.9% of the time. Whites, in glaring contrast, targeted blacks only 3.6 % of the time.
