He said attempts to require transgender Americans to use particular bathrooms is a "distraction from our real problem." And in a first for a GOP convention, the Facebook board member and PayPal co-founder drew attention to his own sexuality: "I am proud to be gay, I am proud to be a Republican, but most of all, I am proud to be an American," he said.

The problem for Republicans and the culture war is simply demographic. < 40s just don’t care. It’s fighting a battle that is going to just become more and more impossible to win. I think if you can get people to be financially independent you can re-engage the culture war.

And it is a huge distraction from more important issues. Eg: BLM is focusing on 150 blacks killed by police each year rather than the fact black unemployment rate is horrible and illegal immigrants are keeping a lot of the wages down for those blacks that do get jobs.

Charlotte passed and ordinance that allowed men to use the women’s publicly owned facilities and forced private business to let men use their women’s facilities. The NC law was then passed to require people to use the right publically owned facilities and gave the choice back to businesses on who can use their own damn bathrooms. Trump and Target can still let who ever they want use their bathrooms in NC.
