NEW YORK 21st Century Fox today announced that Roger Ailes, Chairman and CEO of Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, and Chairman of Fox Television Stations, has resigned from his role effective immediately.
Rupert Murdoch will assume the role of Chairman and acting CEO of Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network.
Rupert Murdoch, Executive Chairman, 21st Century Fox, said:
Roger Ailes has made a remarkable contribution to our company and our country. Roger shared my vision of a great and independent television organization and executed it brilliantly over 20 great years.
Fox News has given voice to those who were ignored by the traditional networks and has been one of the great commercial success stories of modern media.

Murdoch’s sons have always despised Roger Ailes and have been looking for a way to get rid of him for years. Under the “new” management structure that was announced a few months back, Ailes reported to both Murdoch and his boys; previously, he only reported to Rupert.
There are rumors that Roger’s health is declining and he may be content to ride into the sunset with a huge payout. On the other hand, his departure from FNC may spur Ailes to launch a new channel. With the talent, editorial and production personnel he could pull from Fox, Ailes could create a new channel that could compete—and even beat—FNC in a very short period of time.
If Ailes takes O’Reilly, Greta and Hannity to a new channel and Megyn flees to a MSM outlet (as is widely expected) Fox will be left with nothing. The hosts of The Five may bolt as well, along with the morning crew. One of Ailes’s greatest strengths as a TV executive was his ability to spot and develop talent. If the Murdochs believe they can simply stick anyone on a 8, 9, or 10 pm and remain #1, they are sadly mistaken.
My television hasn’t been on in months. Started weaning off when I switched to DISH and the Fox News Channel had been removed the day after I switched. I don’t think I have been missing anything regarding the news. . . between Drudge, FR, WND, Brietbart,LifeNews, Bible Prophecy in the News, etc., and my friends keeping me updated on-line . . .I think I am an informed American.
I have feeling about that there is growing story that Mike Douglas daughter claim she was treated badly by Roger Alies when he ran her daddy show it was on Hollywood reporter or Deadline Hollyweird
OR was a niece not sure
I stop watching Fox news ever since Al Jazeera America was replaced by One America News in my area
Yeah it better network and good on international news coverage
They mostly based in San Diego
But were their claims true? You don't oust someone as big as Ailes for nothing.
One America News Network
www.oann.com
Excellent cable news without commercials.
Their opinion commentators are spot on, especially the Daily Ledger.
The problem is that it’s not widely available.

They will eventually drive out Banbury and any vestige of conservatism. They will quickly become another CNN or PMSNBC. Ailes had already let the network begin to slip badly with his ongoing liberal infestations. Down hill quick from here.
How Banbury came from hannity on auto correct is beyond me
OANN is available on Roku.
what a foolish post
The Globalist Plan:
1) Turn Fox liberal.
2) Fox dies.
His flaming liberal son will turn it into MSNBC
Oh please, - more than ten years ago, yet Kelly accepted prime anchor slots? Shades of Anita hill.
What about thei letters and public statements to the contrary and lastly, "innocent until proven guilty," unless you're a woman claiming sexual harassment.
Did you send me an email earlier today? Because your writing style is exactly like this email I got from a foreign country telling me if I would send 1000 dollars to them, I could then split the royal fortune of Liberia or somewhere that’s worth one million dollars. Is that you? Was the email for real?
Who cares about Ailes? Who cares who is working behind the scenes at a news station. I can’t figure out except these people like to be the news simply because they can. All these unelected people behave and think they are next in line for a run at the Presidency themselves. Ailes, or somebody else ... so what. Fox is moving leftward embracing the prog worldview regardless and will stink like they have for years already.
Now watch how quickly it becomes even more like CNN, MSNBC, CBS, and the others. Hollywood, sports idol worship and the kneeling to anything Clinton and the progressive platform. It is already unwatchable.
I turned on “The Five” this evening for about 10 minutes. FNC can follow Ted Cruz into oblivion for all I care.
To Kimberly Guilfoyle, Hannity, Monica Crowley, and Jeanine Pirro : GTFO ASAP.
