Former 2016 GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee says fellow former candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) betrayed Republican nominee Donald Trump last night at the Republican National Convention.
Cruz opted not to endorse Trump after he vowed as the other candidates had to support the eventual nominee.

He never Trusted Ted
He wasn’t betrayed.
Cruz’s speech was vetted...
I never found Huckabee to be Presidential, but I have never doubted his Christianity or his love of Country.
As an early Cruz supporter, I will forever find ALL three lacking in him. His performance was shameful.
Trump’s mithril vest turned the blade.
I think he did to some extent..and then something happened...might have been when cruz dissed donald during some private function.
I have said all along that the donald can hold a grudge.
Nope. Trump knew exactly what he was doing: giving Cruz the room to destroy his own political career. Cruz obliged.
In politics, you give sh!t and you get sh!t. Cruz just wants to give it. Unfortunately for Cruz, he got into a throwing contest with the wrong guy.
He's going to cause all kinds of chaos in the Senate when Trump takes the Presidency.
Nothing would surprise me. I see ethics charges in his future. The Senate is not going to put up with his cr**.
Huckabee is a great speaker, but his pardoning of those murderers when he was governor sealed his fate.
He knew exactly what Cruz was going to do, he showed the whole nation why he didn’t and was never going to pick Cruz as his Vice President...
After listening and seeing Pence and his lovely family, would you want Cruz as your Vice President? No, I didn’t think so...
Right on, sister!
BTW, I’ve always loved your tagline.
He never Trusted Ted

And he proved last night that he’s Lyin’ Ted. Ted didn’t keep his word that he would support the republican candidate.
His speech was vetted but that wasn’t the betrayal. It was breaking the pledge. The pledge they came up with to embarrass Trump.
I suspect Cruz also betrayed Trump early on. There was a reason Trump called Cruz the biggest liar on the stage.
Yep. Trump gave Cruz a prime time speaking spot
and a rope. Unfortunately for Cruz, he hung himself.
He says he is a principal man, yet he broke his signed pledge
to support the nominee.
Re: Cruz: The GOPe establishment wanted to get to get rid of Cruz as well. The top three were Trump, Carson & Cruz during the campaign and in the polls. This was a nightmare for establishment uniparty republicans. Please keep this in mind Mr. Trump!
GOPe - establishment is not truly behind you in my opinion.
That does bother me.
Everyone agreed to something they thought they wouldn’t have to eventually.
Your obligation is your obligation and you did it front of millions of people.
Do you have some inside knowledge?
I saw the photo of Trump’s face when cruz was speaking. He didn’t look like a man who knew what Cruz would be saying.
Donald forget to be guided by his own very wise advice about “The Snake”!
