He only got 43.76% of the votes in the Texas primary. According to a post in a related recent thread, that was the lowest any Texan has received in any Texas primary.

His whining about attacks on his wife are sounding rather like another presidential contender who shot himself in the foot by complaining about opposition attacks on his wife -- Edmund Muskie.

He is using his family as an excuse. I do not believe him. He and his surrogates started the attack on Trump and his wife, and his home, the state of New York... He is being disingenuous.

Especially when a PAC that supported Cruz attacked Trump’s wife first. Cruz’s response was I didn’t personally attack your wife Donald. The correct response should have been, I personally denounce the attack leveled against Melania. While I have very little doubt that Donald played a role in the National Enquirer story, he was completely justified in my opinion. However, it could have just been that the owner of National Enquirer, and a friend of Trump, decided on his own to go ahead and release the story in retaliation to Cruz and his smug reply. Either way, I loved it when it came out and cared less if it was true or not. Another victory for Trump against the sleaze bag.
