You're fired! Trump to purge federal government of Obama henchmen with aid of new law making it easier to ax civil servants
Chris Christie, the New Jersey governor heading shadow transition team, reveal plan for law change to clear out Obama's appointees 'As you know from his other career, Donald like to fire people,' Christie said in closed-door meeting with donors Campaign is drawing up list of federal employees it wants fired if Trump wins the election Christie said law change is needed because Obama could make his appointees proper civil servants who are more difficult to ax Move would be an attempt by Democrats to embed liberal ideas and practices on government after party is booted from White House If he wins the presidency, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump would seek to purge the federal government of officials appointed by Democratic President Barack Obama and could ask Congress to pass legislation making it easier to fire public workers, Trump ally, Chris Christie, said on Tuesday.
Christie, who is governor of New Jersey and leads Trump's White House transition team, said the campaign was drawing up a list of federal government employees to fire if Trump defeats Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in the Nov. 8 presidential election.
'As you know from his other career, Donald likes to fire people,' Christie told a closed-door meeting with dozens of donors at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, according to an audio recording obtained by Reuters and two participants in the meeting.

agreed!
Agree. I think Christie is just trying to get a light beam on himself.
There are so many. It’s going to be a long hard road.
Christie has experience as a prosecutor so he would make a great AG.
I hate the sound of “enemies list” but “useless organizations” has a nice ring to it. Then again, who cares if we call them “enemies” or not? They call us much nastier things than that!
I have a sister in law that worked for the parks department (whatever it's called) for a time. Her job was to collect and record the comments from the comment cards at various parks around the country. She was collecting suggestions and feedback from tourist and/or visitor feedback and entering the comments/suggestions into a data base.
Ready for this? ..... The data she was entering was always between 3 and 7 years old. I asked her what was being done with the data she was entering. She said, "NOTHING! There is nobody assigned to review this and there is no authority to act on anything sent to them." Her data also included letters from people. Some of which had never been opened. One letter inquired about some follow up on suspected human remains that had been found and reported (can't remember the national park). The bones looked like "human ribs and shoulder" (with collar bone) but the local ranger said it was probably an animal. The writer was concerned that nothing further was being done to investigate it. That letter was 4 years old and had never been opened. It was signed by a doctor. LOL
To this day, he still has no clue what those people did to his hands when he handed them the olive branch.
And with that you know that Trump is serious about fixing Washington. The DC bureaucracy runs this country and they can’t be fired right now.
That is not a good thing. If an issue clearly needs legislation to resolve, Congress must do it, or it doesn't happen (except for certain national security type time sensitive circumstances, which Congress can then review and correct in time). Otherwise, it is lawlessness tyranny. No matter who does it.
It is Rex Lex.
Look for Trump to clean house.
I ask this because every case I've come across involved an executive order that was issued under authority that was given to the president under a prior act of Congress.
Trust me -- the Republicans and Democrats will jointly pass veto-proof legislation stripping the White House of any such power if Trump decides to work on his own on this sort of thing.
It gives those an opportunity to start going now. If 25% are going to leave and on top of that you intend to let people go...some will go. They are not going to vote for Trump anyway.
Christie must be going to be the Chief of Staff....................
It will end up going to court & the dc courts are packed with liberal leaning judges [NO thanks to the current resident of the oval office & him minions]
The State Dept. Clean it out.
The leftist globalists were all his people. He was glad they were in place.
I believe Christie will have a role in the administration to help with the clean-out....he simply and eloquently condemned Hillary last night.
FIRE THE IRS!!!
Keep it quiet! Gov’t employees vote, you know.
I worked at one government agency that had a guy whose job it was to print out monthly reports, and take the previous months reports to the shredder and then to the incinerator.
That is all he did.
No one ever looked at these reports.
Oh, and they were produce on a “mainframe” computer that they were paying a millon dollar a year lease on, with a whole department of people to manage, which had as much power as a modern laptop.
REMEMBER HOW REGAN FIRED THE AIRTRAFIC CONTROLERS
