Yawn.
it’s certainly popular on the forum.
So sue her. This is just the start of the liberal media campaign to “Sarah Palinize” the Trump ticket.
The difference is Melania believes the words she is saying.
There are no similarities between Melania and Michelle.
Gosh, I didn’t hear Melania say that for the first time in her life she was proud of her country. Quite the contrary.
(((YAWN))) Maybe so, but unlike Obama, Melania meant it and was telling the truth.
Ouch, a few lines were similar. Michelle went on to say that she was never proud to be an American. Melania said that becoming an American was the greatest privilege of her life. . .she was married to Donald friggin’ Trump. . . and thought becoming an American was her greatest privilege! Most of us would be lucky to shine his shoes.
I read a ‘news article’ earlier this evening about the conventions speakers, and found it odd that they were posting ‘Fact Checks’ trying to rebut what was being said.
When I got to one that started out “Clinton testified ...” I checked the source.
Sure enough, the New York Slimes.
Really? So the NY Slime cannot get itself to access the speech without comparison to anything else? We’ll keep that in mind Pinch, you jackass.
Was this claim verified yet? Did Obama’s speech really say that?
Comparison:
Heres the key moment in Trumps speech:
My parents impressed on me the values: that you work hard for what you want in life. That your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise. That you treat people with respect. They taught me to show the values and morals in my daily life. That is the lesson that I continue to pass along to our son.
And we need to pass those lessons on to the many generations to follow. [Cheering] Because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.
And this is from Michelle Obamas speech in 2008:
And Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values: that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say you're going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you don't know them, and even if you don't agree with them.
And Barack and I set out to build lives guided by these values, and pass them on to the next generation. Because we want our children and all children in this nation to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.
One possibility is her thoughts just happened to be similar. These are typical platitudes you would hear in a speech. However, it is very similar. Second possibility is I wonder if she looked to past first lady speeches for inspiration. Some words have been changed, and it's not exactly alike. If she used it for inspiration, is it enough to call it plagiarism? The third possibility is (she did have some help, although she said not much), a speechwriter who helped her screwed up and/or deliberately sabotaged her.
Joe Biden was unavailable for comment.
I looked at Michelle’s....They are not the same. The media is playing a game.
Maybe English is her fifth language, and she wrote the speech in another language and the translator made it into the same words. Heh
Not exactly similar but some words are..
Melania said she wrote it, right? Let’s say she had help..it would be beyond ridiculous & obvious for someone to take words from Mooch speech.
What if it was done on purpose??! Ok, now I’m reaching..ha
Maybe it is just a coincidence.. Anything is possible.
And Michelle Obama’s speech sounded offly similar to Laura Bush’s 2000 speech, EVERYONE copies from each other they are SPEECH WRITERS
