Newt is correct. It will be a betrayal.

You can’t betray betrayers.

Cruz can stuff his “endorsement”. I don’t want him on that stage... PERIOD!

It’s more interesting than that.

Cruz can do many things, some of which could help or hurt himself, help or hurt Trump, help or hurt conservative values, or some mixture thereof.

How Cruz threads this needle determines his future viability. As a mainline Cruz supporter, there are lots of ways he can screw this up so I would never help him again. In the alternative, I suspect there are several ways he can walk away bringing the Trump supporters to his side sometime in the probably distant future.

So, we have a political moment. Cruz will either demonstrate low values or transcendent values, and everyone will remember this part best and probably forever.

Interesting.

Cruz is that guy at school that thought he was better and smarter than everyone else, but spent his Friday’s night alone with a Penthouse magazine.

Failure to support the nominee means Cruz’s word isn’t worth s#it and that he can’t be trusted to keep his own promises.

..... I agree ..... It will be a betrayal of this country. Sometimes you have to put your interests aside to stand up and fight for America and fight for our children's future.

..... America has given us so much in the past and it's time to give a little back to save her. This could very well be our last stand to save what is left of the Constitution and the Free country we grew up in.

..... Our men and women in uniform took up the cause and are battling overseas to protect the few freedoms left in the world.

..... Wouldn't it be horrible if after their tours ended that they would return home to an America they wouldn't even recognize. History will record what happens next and it is now up to all of us .... RIGHT NOW!

.... The road to HELL is paved with good intentions.

Cruz,Romney,Bush,Kasick,Lee etc have been taking shots at Trump non-stop since he entered the race. The attempted fraggings have only increased since Trump wrapped up the number of delegates.

Even if Count Copulot endorses Trump, it will be as worthless as his affidavit that he was a natural born Citizen

I want his greasy creepy ass deported.

Newt: It's a 'Betrayal' If Cruz Doesn't Endorse Trump During Convention Speech

I was listening as well, and that is not what Newty said. He said that if Cruz misused his speech time, that would be a betrayal. Newty did NOT say if Cruz doesn't endorse Trump, that would be a betrayal.

Trump has to be the nominee because he earned over 1500 delegates. All of the candidates pledged their support for the winner.

If they (jeb, Kasich, Cruz etc.) don’t support Trump, that means their word doesn’t mean squat.

I hope everyone is listening.

No biggie.

US politicians betray the citizenry on a daily basis.

I guess it’s only news when they betray another politician.

They are totally self serving.

As Rush said today on this issue - he’d gamble his whole show’s listener base by supporting Trump (which he hasn’t done publicly) to ensure Hiltery loses.

It’s that simple.

At the first debate, weren’t all the candidates asked whether they would endorse the nominee? Didn’t Cruz promise to do so? And Jeb? Where are they?

I believe he will not endorse and it will ruin his political career. He’s lacks vision and he lacks effective strategies and he lacks good character. He is deluded enough to believe this has all been a fluke and that if he can just do it over again, he’ll be victorious. The truth is people now see his lack of ethics is a serious problem he will never overcome. He better just stay in Texas.
