Newt: It's a 'Betrayal' If Cruz Doesn't Endorse Trump During Convention Speech I was listening as well, and that is not what Newty said. He said that if Cruz misused his speech time, that would be a betrayal. Newty did NOT say if Cruz doesn't endorse Trump, that would be a betrayal.

Thanks for the link, I was trying to find it. Personally I don't understand it. Trump and Cruz used to get along so good and then suddenly things changed.
