If this is the case that Trump set up Cruz, was Cruz just to stupid to know the blowback from the delegates or DID CRUZ KNOW he would take over the media cycle thus putting a damper on the R convention!!! In my eyes Cruz is just slime plain and simple and EVERYONE thinks Trump has a massive ego, Cruz has him beat by a mile!!!!!
I find it hard to believe that Trump knew exactly what Cruz would say because Cruz went 13 mins over his allotted time.
I’ve heard different versions but one was, supposedly from an insider, that Trump was there to accept Cruz’s pseudo endorsement.

GREAT point, mrsmith. Everybody forgot Mike Pence’s excellent speech because they were still buzzing over Toxic Ted’s betrayal and political suicide, live on TV for all to see.
I don’t know either. Rush today said Trump knew ahead of time (about Cruz’ non-endorsement), yet all the talking heads on FNC and CNN last night said Trump and his family did NOT know what Ted was going to say. The talking heads were all incredulous that a presidential candidate had not seen all the speeches that were to be given at the convention.

You know I NEVER thought about the endorsement by Pence of Cruz aspect of this, it makes Cruz even MORE DISPCABLE!!! He absolutely ripped the Pence speech and introduction to the nation from him BASTARD!!!

Your recollection is correct. And, the rest that didn't show up, and like Cruz, would not endorse Trump, have all been proven (again) to be liars!

With the binary choice available, I, as most Cruz supporters I assume, will vote for the lesser of two evils and hope Trump can grow into a leader that can avoid the caustic personal attacks which has marked his campaign.
