Been watching conventions since 1972. Normally they are boring affairs with mostly pontificating politicians who go way past their time.
The pace being set tonight is simply amazing. I've never seen anything like it. I love the 5-10 minute format for most of the speakers.
As I said this is an amazing first night...All speakers were really hitting home runs.

First I heard Cotton speak...big turn off.. Not impressed with him one little bit.
Yes, he is Catholic. He is one of 11 kids. My parents had 9, and we were not Catholic. I was raised Lutheran. My best friend’s family had 8. Not sure of their church, but not Catholic.
Great point about this showing Trump’s compassion.

He is one of my very few "favorite" people. He's literally the only person in Congress that I trust and respect.
I like it too! I remember in the past, some speaks would drone on for 30+ minutes. This has been a great mix of people.
