INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Shortly after being officially introduced as Donald Trump’s running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence was trending on Twitter — but it had nothing to do with politics.
Pence posted a photo of his family eating at a Chili’s restaurant in New York, prompting a storm of tweets.

Many years ago, when I was pregnant with my third, we went there every 1-2 weeks to get their mushroom swiss burgers. We always asked them to add bacon.. mmm memories.
He should have asked me! I like Chili’s as much as the next guy but he could go to Chili’s anywhere.

I find Manhattan restaurants quite reasonable when compared to similar in DC. But there are plenty of cheap eats in NYC and really terrific food.

Hey, now, I ate at the Time Square McDonald’s before. Sometimes you just need something fast and cheap when you are traveling.
I’ve also eaten Greek, Turkish, Irish, Italian, Spanish (Spain), French, Bosnian, Russian, and other sorts of food in NYC. I’m pretty sure that Pence has eaten more interesting types of food than just Chili’s too. Every meal doesn’t need to be special, especially when you have more important things to deal with.
Besides, Chili’s has good ribs, and good steaks...
I ate at Chili’s yesterday too after my son’s baseball tournament. My kids love Chili’s.

I've been to that Taco Bell a few times, myself. The architecture is almost as startling as the location, it looks like a Sea Ranch house. Wouldn't be surprised if one of the same architects designed it.

We are blessed to have an abundance of food that we can be picky where we eat and how much we wish to spend.
Applebees is darn good and when I travel in the South I eat at The Waffle House.
