Appearing on MSNBC in the 11 a.m. ET hour on Friday, Daily Beast editor and NBC News contributor Christopher Dickey was confounded by the idea that the terrorist who launched Thursdays attack on France was heavily armed: ...where the hell did he get those arms? I mean, this is not Alabama or South Carolina or Texas. You just can't go buy automatic pistols in any old store in town by showing your driver's license.

Doesn't matter. I hear the truck had a high capacity 30 gal fuel tank. There's no reason for civilians to have fuel tanks larger than 5-6 gal.
Is France a gun-free zone?
.................................................
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
The French people are one of the highest armed populations in the world. Approximately one out of every three Frenchmen owns a firearm. To put it another way, In England approximately 3 out of 100 own a firearm, while in France over 30 out of 100 own a firearm.
Initial reports that the truck was full of heavy weapons proved to be inaccurate as the weapons, including grenades later turned out to be fake.

Does Quest Ionian have anything to do with a trip to the free fair in Michigan?
Are you sure? That looks like one of those deadly 400-round banana clips. </s
They’re a special kinda stupid aren’t they?
Youre right, ChrisFrance is supposed to be a gun-free zone like Chicago, not those Southern hick states.
....................................................
Most people think France is gun-free. In FACT it is not. It is Great Britain that has stripped its population of firearms.
“Automatic” is a magic word to liberals. They think they’ve instantly won the argument when they use it.
Aren’t all pistols made since about 1840 automatic?
Bring back the Francs-tireurs
I get mine at “Ollie’s”.
As for France, no, terrorists can’t get guns in any old store store. They have to get them like anyone else in France who wants a gun - from some Corsican guy.
......................................................
Obviously you know NOTHING about France. I owned firearms in France for years. Still do. I have a lifetime hunting license in France and a room full of trophies and medals for competition shooting. Can’t do that without guns!
Commotion in the ocean,
His air hose broke.
Lots of troubles,
Lots of bubbles.....
Sorry, I was just grooving on your screen name! Great choice, BTW.

2. The French people cant legally get guns in any old store, or pretty much any store for that matter. This is why they keep getting slaughtered by their muslim guests.
...........................................
Just like in America, the French people buy guns in gunshops or from family members or friends. “Armorier” is the proper word and you can find it in any phone book in France. Same place you get your ammunition and hunting supplies.
You guys need to check out the Drive Thru stores. I really like the Super Size Combo packs on clips. A let’s not forget the free happy shooter packs for the kids. /s
I heard it was a bolt-action four on the floor model.
I have an eighty seven caliPer autoMATED assault shotpistol and forty three clips. Each clip holds 927 twelve guage bullets and can fire thirty three hundred times per second. I bought it at the same K-Mart where I always buy my underwear. I drive myself to the K-Mart, I’m an EXCELLENT driver.
Check on England’s standing which is WAYYYYYYYYYY down the list. The French are one of the top countries for firearms ownership. Two world wars taught them well.
That’s a twofer. high capacity AND high potassium!

I reckon “Truck Control” will now be on Democrat Party platform
When I was a kid in the 50s, the WWII guys in my family called 45s, 45 automatics. That was common usage. I get that journalists should know better in 2016.
