Aw my previous post said...the coup has failed and Erodgan consolidating power by having military take over CNN and other communication locations. He would never have flown back into Turkey airspace if his troops were not in control of air space and airport.

CNN scooped by Reuters! Either that, or CNN is deliberately delaying reports. Anderson Cooper just now asking, “we have report that Erdogen has landed in Istanbul, can you tell us where he is?” (talking with Jeff Kelby of CNN)

In that same segment was a priceless exchange. Cooper talking to a source on the ground saying something like: "... wait, to be clear, the protesters at the airport say they are supporting the coup?!? ..."

I thought the number of Coup soldiers on the street and number of tanks seemed too few for this to be a fully backed coup otherwise you would have seen thousands of troops and hundreds of tanks swarm capital...a small branch of the military took the chance while he was out of the country in hopes the rest of the military would join them....but they did not...so now Turkey turns down the road of Islamic government.
