The forecast of the security chief with more than two decades of experience, shared at a closed-door hearing of the French parliament has come true two months later, with deadly results on July 14, 2016.
The French media that carried Calvar’s grim warnings on the future of the Islamic terror threat, quoted him as saying:
“We are in the brink of a civil war.
“This confrontation, I think it’s going to happen,” he said.
“One or two more terrorist attacks and it will start. It is therefore our duty to anticipate and block any group that aims to set off fighting between communities,” the DGSI chief added.
Can France, or for that matter, any other democratic country, succeed in preventing such confrontation?
Already, anti-Muslim right wing groups are increasing their political clout with rising public support after every jihadi attack.
The far right Front National (FN) party in France, led by Marine LePen, has made spectacular gains in popularity since 2011.

Some wanted to and did fight. Some accommodated the supposed New World Order. Some were still exhausted from WWI. France after WWI was a mess politically, and they pretty much refused to modernize their army, enjoying their victory and putting too much faith in the disastrous Maginot Line. They pioneered use of tanks in WWI then all but forgot about mechanized armor. But I have to believe there are still a lot of French with the spine to fight. Maybe they just need their new Joan of Arc or Charles Martel, or even a DeGaulle.
There is only one answer to your question. And it applies to all western countries. They have been taken over by marxists/alinskyites. The objective is to destroy any government that stands for, and defends, freedom and individual rights. Why, you ask. Because the totalitarian system rewards those elites who run the show. And we have in place in the USA a large group of elites. It is growing. Look at the population of DC and the economic boom going on

These bombings and other terror attacks lead to drama but no response.
The next attack(s) will be on hospitals, assisted living homes and schools — all extremely soft targets. The attack on innocent children will have the most impact on the population. There will be more church attacks for sure.
Lay off the French, will you? We Americans have nothing to be proud of the way we daily suck up to the muzzies. We even put one in the WH to “lead” us and we are about to let thousands of them into the country.
No, there is really nothing like the French as far as cowardice is concerned. They may not be completely to blame for the muslim problem (because they maintained their black colonies way to long giving these mud people migration rights to France) but when it comes to hands up don’t shoot, the French invented it.
