The forecast of the security chief with more than two decades of experience, shared at a closed-door hearing of the French parliament has come true two months later, with deadly results on July 14, 2016.
The French media that carried Calvar’s grim warnings on the future of the Islamic terror threat, quoted him as saying:
“We are in the brink of a civil war.
“This confrontation, I think it’s going to happen,” he said.
“One or two more terrorist attacks and it will start. It is therefore our duty to anticipate and block any group that aims to set off fighting between communities,” the DGSI chief added.
Can France, or for that matter, any other democratic country, succeed in preventing such confrontation?
Already, anti-Muslim right wing groups are increasing their political clout with rising public support after every jihadi attack.
The far right Front National (FN) party in France, led by Marine LePen, has made spectacular gains in popularity since 2011.

They are in a civil war. The government is offering aid and comfort to the existential enemies of the French people.
I wish they would stop calling it a civil war. Muslims are in their country to wage war on them, not to have any western rights etc. not to assimilate but to convert. It isn’t a civil war, it is a barbaric war.
If this one doesn’t do it there is no chance that the next one will.
There will be no civil war. There will be more attacks, more victims, and more politicians and talking heads on television saying this has nothing to do with Islam. Meanwhile, Islamic states like Saudi Arabia will still talk about going to their demented heaven filled with slaves as a reward for dying in the service of the death cult.
No. The next half dozen won’t, either.
There is nothing like waiting for more.
Perhaps all this will lead to a new Crusade, to be led by the likes of Donald Trump, Nigel Farage and Marine Le Pen.

It has to get A LOT worse before any civil war or rebellion happens.
There is already a civil war taking place in France, as well as in America.
So far, only one side; the Left side; is fighting.
The other side is simply dying; and wondering why.

In France? you’ve got to be kidding.
They think we will bail them out - yet again.
No. If the 70s offer any instruction it’s that the more frequent the terror attacks the more they turn into the background noise of life and the less bothered the people are about them.
I don’t know why the attack before this one didn’t do it. There was a time in their history when the French knew what to do when they were told to “eat cake”. Now they don’t know what to do when their government is enabling invaders who are blowing them up.

Our politics are litterally OWNED by Qatary MONNEY and they hate our christian roots and secular culture .
Qatar and Saudi Arabia own a lot of buildings , nice hotels , football clubs ( like Paris St Germain...).

I don’t see the French doing what’s necessary for survival.
Frankly, I’m worried we won’t.
Islam has never been a religion of peace and must be exposed as the totalitarian ideology that it is.
