CLEVELAND A night highlighting the tragedy in Benghazi, Libya. An appearance by onetime football star Tim Tebow. A presentation detailing former President Bill Clintons sexual misconduct.
Donald J. Trump, the presumptive nominee, has been promising a different kind of Republican National Convention, and plans obtained by The New York Times show that he is eager to put his showbiz stamp on the partys gathering, even as he struggles to attract A-list talent.
The roster of speakers obtained by The Times, and confirmed by two people with direct knowledge of the convention planning, reveals a lineup lacking many of the partys rising stars. Instead, it features some of Mr. Trumps eclectic collection of friends, celebrities and relatives, from his Slovenian supermodel wife to professional golfer Natalie Gulbis...
The list, which is subject to change, as obtained by The New York Times:
Night 1: A Benghazi focus, followed by border patrol agents and Mr. Shaw, whose son was killed by an undocumented immigrant. Senator Cotton, Mr. Giuliani, Melania Trump, Ms. Ernst and others.
Night 2: A focus on the economy: Mr. White, president of the U.F.C.; Asa Hutchinson, the governor of Arkansas; Michael Mukasey, the former United States attorney general; Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, a vice-presidential possibility; Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, the majority leader; Tiffany Trump; Donald Trump Jr. and Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin.
Night 3: Ms. Bondi; Ms. Collins; Newt Gingrich, a former House speaker; Senator Ted Cruz of Texas; Eric Trump; Ms. Gulbis; and the nominee for vice president.
Night 4: Mr. Tebow; Representative Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee; Gov. Mary Fallin of Oklahoma; Reince Priebus, the Republican National Committee chairman; Gov. Rick Scott of Florida; Mr. Thiel; Mr. Barrack; Ivanka Trump; Donald J. Trump.

I agree with you.
I like Sarah as well (she spoke up here a number of years back and I almost paid the $400 fee to see her), but over the past few years I would cringe when listening to her.
She’s ramble all over the place at times and often sounded more like a stand-up comic more than a serious leader. I remember wishing that she’d go less for the little one-liner laughs and be more Thatcher-like.
She certainly did start the movement against the established politicians, crony capitalism and other corruption. She also took such garbage from the left, I don’t know how she stood it.
As an aside, I see her daughter married that Dakota Meyer - I didn’t know that had happened. Good to see she is (hopefully) settled down now.
“Ms. Gulbis”
Natalie Gulbis the golfer?
face it.....Sarah was
Nope. He has too much talent to be VP.
That’s why it is important to have sub-titles turned on, and hit the mute button. I CANNOT listen to Palin.
Listening to Palin is painful.
Snort
that’s how the media does these things... trash someone repeatedly and even though it is rejected and denied by individuals, it does take a toll on the reputation and popularity of the trashee ... and before you know it, you just don’t like that trashed person any more. The trashee is less and less acceptable. The media brainwashes all of us every day.
I still love Sarah... she has been bloodied by the media.. but she has lost her power to excite ... Trump is the new exciter.
Yeah I imagine that as confidential as Trump has to now kept information, it would be amazing that he would allow the NY Slimes of all media an advanced copy of the convention schedule. They seem quite adept at making up stuff.
Good.
I used to have high aspirations for Sarah. I still appreciate her campaigning for good candidates. But as a candidate, she’s pretty much past her “Sell by” date. I could make an exception if she replaced Murkowsky or some other D from AK.
And Concern Trolling here, Bookmark to Sarah's List.
[Your comment is a lie. If you love Sarah Palin you would not be so petty as to pitch of her voice]
SARAH PALIN has a shrill voice that could be toned down with vocal lessons.

Thanks for the ping Mr. Lion, but I want no part of this thread or the helpful FReepers who “love Palin but”...

Opinions on this? Not sure it sounds like a good idea. Talking about the fact he committed perjury, yes - it highlights that they're lying-birds-of-a-feather.
Right, and she should get her boobs done too.
You really believe the left’s politics of personal destruction. She would take this team to a landslide victory. Watching the libs heads explode would just be a bonus.
Pray America wakes

That worked for me too. :)
The first thing I noticed was no Palin. That’s ridiculous.
I love Sarah, but it’s probably wise to keep any reminders of failed past tickets off the stage.
I find it remarkable that the PDS sufferers are still alive and kicking. Open a thread on Sarah and they're drawn to it like moths to a flame...
