I hope the weather’s been pleasant enough for you and Bo to get out. Or is the heat wave affecting y’all too?

It’s a process of cooking usually meat long and slow totally submerged in fat until almost falling apart. One of the best fats for this is duck fat. It comes out very moist and tender and not nearly as oily as it sounds. They use it a lot on Iron Chef America and other cooking shows doing 5 star dishes. We have Mexican restaurant in Eagle Rock California that makes duck confit tacos.

We actually got to walk out at the lake yesterday. Clouds kept the heat index below 100. We’ll see what today holds.

It sounds like it’s been pretty toasty there, too. At least you were able to go to the lake for a bit. Bo does love those turtles! LOL

Maybe today won’t be too bad and you can go again.

It’s going to be another oppressive day here. Ugh! No clouds or rain to back off the heat until tomorrow —— maybe.

Good morning, Everyone.

Good morning

Thank you, Luvy, for preparing the Canteen
for today's activities.
I think having a simple menu like Tex and Mex
makes choices so much easier. LOL

I have absolutely no idea how I scored: 7/10 (Result: 70%).
I had no idea what most of them meant.
I think the only one I
really did know was Au Jus.
Because hubby always asks for that when he gets his steak.

Yesterday, turned out to be a "road running" day.
I had to go shopping for a new printer/copier
and wanted to go wireless.
Being ever efficient I made sure
I did a number of other things while I was out.
So, all-in-all, a successful day.

I recently received an Office Depot purchasing (discount) card
from Amac and wanted to use it.
It doesn't give discounts on technology
but at least I can get discounts on office supplies.
Still, I did my research on HP printer/copiers
and found the one I wanted at a discount on Amazon.
I knew from the Office Depot's website,
they will match competitor prices
(found out at the store that it doesn't apply to
second or third seller selling through Amazon).
But I asked the sales guy and he checked the ad
and thankfully it was being sold by Amazon,
thus I got a bigger wireless printer/copier
for the same price as the smaller one. Not bad.
And although the store is a little far away,
I'll stop in whenever I'm in the area and check out prices.

Once again, the clock is ticking my morning away.
So, I need to make my rounds and get on with chores.
