For Sean Hannity, the question of who would be best suited to join Donald Trump on the Republican ticket is clear-cut: It's Newt Gingrich. Appearing on Fox News Monday night, the former speaker of the House heard a cascade of effusive praise and reasoning as to why he would be best positioned to take on the role of Trump's No. 2. Hannity laid out what he saw as the most important questions for the presumptive nominee to consider as he weighed choices on his short list, which have been said to include the likes of Gingrich, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Gov. Mike Pence and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn.
"Who would be best at prosecuting the case against Hillary in terms of the list that he has? Who would be best in terms of making the case and articulating the case for Donald Trump with a positive voice like you have? Who would be the person that would pretty much be assured a win in any presidential/vice presidential debate?" Hannity told Gingrich. "I think youve checked that corner. Who has balanced the budget and given us a surplus? Who has the ability to work with Congress? I check all the boxes, and you're right there at the top, and I think you'd be the right choice. What is your response to that?" Hannity made sure to remark that he was not offering up the recommendation "as a friend." "I'm speaking objectively here. I think you would prosecute the case against Hillary better than anybody, strategize and help them win, and help him govern, which, with a hostile speaker and majority leader, would be difficult," the Fox host continued, as Gingrich grinned. Such talk "is all very flattering," Gingrich said, calling Hannity's questions "a pretty good set of criteria."

America REALLY gives a flip about what makes you happy, Sean
Every named person has disadvantages and advantages. With Newt we certainly would have a very smart guy, but then thete’s Calista .
Wow what a suck-up...
But he is right.
Just say no to the MSM trying to pick our VP.
No to Gingrich.
Yeah, but don’t jinx it, Sean.
Stay classy, like Brit Hume.
Trump & the Grinch , doesn’t ring.....
Personally, I think it’s going to be someone not even on the radar. That would be the Trump way.
Hey media! Look over there -———————>
<-—————— Then BANG! They come from over there
I like you Sean, but you did not fully support Trump until AFTER Ted dropped out...so sit down, and shut up.
According to Peter Alexander @MSNBC, Trump has scheduled an event for Friday to showcase his Veep!! No other details yet.
Seanie was in love with Socialist Willard, too.
Just say NO to Newtie !
Sean and Newt are drinkin buddies. He is promoting a friend.
And I wouldn’t be happy with anyone other then Sarah Palin. She is the only true conservative and already held most of Trumps conservative positions and who has been loyal.
Sean is personable. He is not however one of the smartest people in the room. Usually ranking just below the bus boy. Heck of a nice stand up guy though.
I think most of us support Mitt because the other alternative was Obama. That said, GO NEWT GO
So you still support Zero’s Ringer, Willard ?
I personally don't trust Newt.
My only problems with Newt:
1) He is too old. If Trump serves two terms both of them will be pushing 80. At that point Newt can’t run to succeed him, and the door opens for the GOPe to try and seize control of the party back.
2) Maybe it’s just me.....but I STILL have issues with a guy who walks away from a spouse who is dying from cancer.
Aside from the moral dilemma the Democrat ads would be brutal.
