Sen. Ted Cruz accepted an invitation from President Barack Obama to travel aboard Air Force One on Tuesday to Dallas for an interfaith memorial honoring the victims of last weeks attack.
The news was reported by multiple reporters who spotted Cruz at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland where the presidents plane departs from.

You and you alone made the only relevant point. Ted Cruz is a Cuban Canadian, Harvard Law Schooled OBAMA. Ted Cruz has fooled many, but not the majority.
It was Cornyn, not Corker.
Any way you look at it, Obama has blood on his hands. That is a fact. Seven and a half years of vicious race baiting is paying big dividends for the Racist In Chief. You like the fact that Ted hopped aboard the plane with the man who played an active role in creating both the environment and the entity—BLM—that resulted in these officer’s death. I don’t. That’s just the difference between you and me, it appears.
Thanks for you responses.
I still believe he did the right thing.
officer’s = officers’
(It really was auto-correct this time.)
Those of you who continue threatening betrayal are free to leave FR and post elsewhere. Throw your temper tantrums somewhere else. Any “conservative” who refuses to enthusiastically vote for Trump over Hillary, thereby allowing Hillary to destroy our nation, is no conservative. I don’t want to hear anything more from you whatsoever unless it’s 100% support for Trump!
“All politics in America is not local but ultimately racial”
Absurd. And no, I will not argue the point.
“Obama’s well-crafted posture of Lincolnesque nobility.”
It is an attempted posture that no one falls for. Democrats and the MSM fake belief.
Cruz refuses to endorse Trump. That is petulance personified.
It’s propaganda 101. If the TX delegation shunned Obama en masse, it would look bad for him. I.e.: it would look like people assigned a certain measure of culpability to Obama, and wanted to keep their distance.
If one of the two Senators is happy to ride on AF1 with him, Obama’s in the clear. No one is holding him responsible to any degree, and he’s free to carry on his potentially lethal race hustling unimpeded.
Hope it ain’t True
Cruz also went to Nelson Mandela’s memorial, though not sure how he got there.
Interesting take on it.
I had assumed the Senior Senator from Texas Cornyn was also on AF1, turns out he wasn’t. Hmmmmmmm...
I may be changing my support for this after all. #;^)
Nobody would be giving Cruz stick for this had been campaigning with Trump and enthusiastically supporting Trump’s defeat of Hillary. But when he withholds support from Trump and makes time for Obama and Tony Perkins you have a problem.
Last Year I had predicted that Cruz would be the first Republican Contender to get a ride on Trump’s Plane since they were getting along.
It believe it ended up being Carson or Christie. LOL
“Which proves that youd rather insult cruz and conservatives than beat Hillary.”
That is the stupidest logic I’ve heard in a long time.
IMO, Cruz has never recovered emotionally from Trump winning Evangelicals. That must REALLY sting. The “Trump attacked my family” from Cruz is just a canard. Cruz didn’t have a problem with his surrogates attacking Trump’s family. What’s good for the goose...
Cruz is being incredibly short sighted here. He’s needlessly built up huge animosity among loyal Trumpers who he will most definitely need should he have national office aspirations in the future.
Cruz fan from way back when, even though I live in CA.
Some friends in Texas personally know him and his Family. They always told me he was the real deal.
The guy is sharp as a Tack, but his Campaign crashed and burned. I see no future National Office for him, which IMHO is to the detriment to the future of the Republic. Very sad.
Then again, if Hillary Wins there will be no Republic left to worry about.
bump
I can’t see into a man’s heart or mind, so I will at the moment keep my peace on Cruz’s true intentions.
Having said this, he probably sabotaged his own national campaign futures with his behavior since the campaign ended. People aren’t going to remember heated campaign rhetoric, and even if they do, they’re going to remember that it didn’t just fly in one direction.
What they’re going to remember is how he refused to get behind the winner. If he had thrown his full weight behind Mr. Trump immediately, or at least within a few weeks after he suspended his campaign, then much would have been forgiven and forgotten, and he’d be a contender for 2024 and beyond.
But now...?
Well, you see what the opinion of him on the board is now, and most of it by former fans of his. And whether he’s just not making smart choices or whether all the bile flung at him is justified, it’s probably enough to lock him off the national stage for the foreseeable future.
Probably.
Cruz refuses to endorse Trump. That is petulance personified.
Do you know whether Trump ever repudiated his oath to support the nominee?
“Do you know whether Trump ever repudiated his oath to support the nominee?”
No, he did not. If he had, you would not have to ask the question. It would be emblazoned across the nation 24-7.
Do you know whether Donald Trump ever repudiated his oath to endorse the nominee?
