Cruz fan from way back when, even though I live in CA.

Some friends in Texas personally know him and his Family. They always told me he was the real deal.

The guy is sharp as a Tack, but his Campaign crashed and burned. I see no future National Office for him, which IMHO is to the detriment to the future of the Republic. Very sad.

Then again, if Hillary Wins there will be no Republic left to worry about.

I can’t see into a man’s heart or mind, so I will at the moment keep my peace on Cruz’s true intentions.

Having said this, he probably sabotaged his own national campaign futures with his behavior since the campaign ended. People aren’t going to remember heated campaign rhetoric, and even if they do, they’re going to remember that it didn’t just fly in one direction.

What they’re going to remember is how he refused to get behind the winner. If he had thrown his full weight behind Mr. Trump immediately, or at least within a few weeks after he suspended his campaign, then much would have been forgiven and forgotten, and he’d be a contender for 2024 and beyond.

But now...?

Well, you see what the opinion of him on the board is now, and most of it by former fans of his. And whether he’s just not making smart choices or whether all the bile flung at him is justified, it’s probably enough to lock him off the national stage for the foreseeable future.

Probably.
