Three days before his death, Philando took part in this video where it shows his girlfriend, Diamond Reynolds, being a power-mother, smokied a joint with Philando and their daughter in the background.
Make sure you watch the frames where the daughter is caught on cam and absolutely hates her situation...
Media wants her opinion of what happened. What about her credibility?
Her poor little girl is shown around minute 3:40 to 3:45 or so, sitting in the hot car breathing second-hand marijuana smoke and looking very distressed.
Are we 100% sure this guy actually had a CCW?
Most documentaries are about events that occurred in the past.
Ramsey Sheriff said none issued to Philandro from his department. Hard to believe he had the permit from anywhere.
@cameron_dehart Mr. Castile never applied for a permit to carry with our office. Therefore we did not issue his permit.— Ramsey Sheriff (MN) (@RamseySheriff) July 7, 2016
LOL!
There’s no way that child wasn’t getting a contact high from being in that car.
So Philandro did NOT have a CCW for the county he was in.
*sigh* There is no repentance. Pride is valued above humility and the Word of God. It's literally becoming like hell on earth in a lawless and perverse generation.
Psalm 9:17:
"The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God."
Jeremiah 13:25:
"This is thy lot, the portion of thy measures from me, saith the LORD; because thou hast forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood."
I'm gonna go with Getaway Driver for Armed Robbery of convenience stores. Probably traded the stolen cartons of Newports for the weed.
Keep in mind the video might be mirrored, as was Lavish Reynold’s stream depicting her dying boyfriend. She was actually the passenger & he was the driver, but the image was reversed due to her phone settings.
Goodhearted, kindly, school food server Mr. Phil and his ghetto girlfriend were so stoned they couldn’t drive for a while.
And the little girl, who Mr. Phil never acknowledges whatsoever anywhere (he was not the baby-daddy) -— is sitting in the back seat holding a big package of explosive fireworks, while they light up inside the car.
I understand now. Another poster reminded me. Thank you. I do still remember her passing the joint over to the driver (I guess) at least once, though.
I still feel for that poor little girl. She didn’t nor doesn’t deserve a worthless POS parent.
It is a statewide permit, so IF it was issued somewhere in the state, he was allowed. However, when you move, you are supposed to register with the new address within 30 days.
Thx for the link.
Another issue which is being debated about. The reports that he did, were about a CCW issued by Hennepin County (Minneapolis). Not the place where Castile was shot. And Hennepin County, which was asked about it, has said that it is forbidden by law from saying yes or no.
Whoever ends up with Castile’s effects may ultimately be able to reveal more... if he or she wishes.
I’ve opposed every rush to judgment in the cases of police shooting black men and the Martin-Zimmerman case (as well as about every other left-generated controversy, like the Ahmed Mohamed clock-bomb incident), but Castile and his girlfriend smoking marijuana - even with her child in the car - is hardly going to be perceived as damning character evidence.
For low-income Americans of every race, and young people in general, marijuana use is usual enough to be considered more along the lines of drinking and smoking cigarettes.
From what’s on the video, it’s highly probable that their Fourth of July was very similar to that of many other low-income, working class Americans, of every race.
More serious, life-threatening drug use and addiction is also prevalent in low-income America among all races. Think of the OxyContin, meth and heroin problems in mostly white and poor rural America. Serious drug addiction is hardly a rare thing in middle-class America, either.
If it is established that Castile was likely the one who committed the armed robbery days before, that would support the idea that he was going for his gun. And one would think that more “serious” drug use would be found in his background, leading to the armed robbery.
On the other hand, he might have not been involved in the robbery and gone for his gun anyway. The distorted reporting on incidents between police and black Americans has drastically increased the mistrust on both sides.
What will really be important to the case is what exactly happened between the officer and Castile, and what information the officers had to go on.
Mr. Phil the stoner, never appears in a single photo with the little girl, or even with his “girlfriend” Lavish Reynolds. I wasn’t convinced they were all that close.
I see tonight, that his mother is calling Lavish out, for taking advantage of Philando’s death - in fact, disclosing that they were not close, not engaged, not really an item even.
In watching some other video of them together-he never utters a word to her for more than 2 hours, or even looks at her.
Is it b/c he’s so stoned he can’t function? or just not interested in her? IDK.
The little girl is lucky they didn’t blow her up in the back seat.
Seems you’re guesses are pretty good. I got the same impression about the guy. He hardly said one word that I can recall.
About that female being stoned. I’d say pretty damned stoned, maybe some powder in it too.
I just remember the little girl asking something “....can we see/do that mama?” and gets brushed off. Horrible.
