Some history. Newt and Pence have a past relationship

Yes & No.
There is a deadline of noon (I think) per Indiana election law, that drives the IN. GOP’s interest, in regards to replacing Pence with someone else to run for governor.
Pundits were mentioning that another reason for a Friday announcement is that it gives Trump and his VP pick, media coverage aplenty, and momentum- extended over the weekend, to carry them into the convention.
Also, an appearance or two, might occur between Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, aiding the duo in capturing the headlines over the weekend, hence another reason for the Friday announcement.
It’s driving me insane, but at least, after 8 days, the upstairs air conditioning is fixed and working again! :-)
I love traditional/classic furniture; give me Williamsburg any day!!
Or....Maybe it’s not, and he’ll run for Governor again.
$5 on red, $5 on black... lol. ;O)
How was your RT 66 trip?
Did you stop in Atlanta, IL., and eat at the Palm Grill?
What was your final destination?
Here is information regarding the Pence immigration plan

Above link is to a picture I tried to post earlier of Donald on a chair talking to the over-flow crowd in Cincy.
Guessing- nikos might start up a thread tomorrow or Friday, for the announcement of DJT’s VP pick. It ought to be a doozy.
Thanks, VERY interesting article!
Great Great Great article, thanks HM.
Every one of those Newt supporters need to re-think their support very carefully. For Tokyo Rove to push for him only confirms he is a “fellow” globalist. DJT’s life would be in grave danger if Newt were VP, IMO.
My sense is that it’s not going to be Newt. I think it may be Pence or Sessions. Christie needs to be AG.
THANKS,Do you mind telling me how you posted the picture. I tried but failed several times.>>>Eric had to picture on his twitter page.
My stuff is a mix of hand-me-downs, antiques that I have bought, and modern furniture made in the style of Sheridan, Hepplewhite, and Chinese Chippendale, to go with some original stuff. :-)
But there are comfy sofas and love seats in my study, my husband's study, our bedroom, and the keeping room.
It's what I grew up with, what my mother grew up with, what my grandmother grew up with, and what my kiddo grew up with, so for generations, we have all done more the same thing, with our own slight twists on it all. It's what we all have been most comfortable with. LOL
Many thatnks...it worked this time! :-)
Many thanks for THAT info ! :-)
Oh I hope so and yes, it’s going to be something else again! LOL
It was good, but hot! When I went 2 years ago, we stopped at a lot of the restored gas stations. This year was a mishmash of things. I did make a quick detour to the Lincoln Tomb. Funk’s Grove wasn’t an official stop this year either, but I stopped and got some syrup anyway; saw some others doing the same.
Got a ketchup bottle hat pin, so I was thrilled with that! Had seen the tower on my own the first trip, but there were people this time with info about its history.
The first night stop was Litchfield; was going to go to Ariston Cafe but it was PACKED, so went to Jubelt’s instead.
Last stop on Sunday was Towanda; and YES, Palm Grill was our lunch stop! Or rather, Atlanta was, and you could eat wherever you wanted. I think most everyone chose the Palm. LOL. I had a Rueben sandwich but no pie.
I’m thinking the next trip I take for Route 66 in IL might not be during the tour; there’s so much to see and it’s hard to do when 100 people go piling in pretty much at once. And there’s still restaurants I haven’t tried yet, like Cozy Dog and Rite Maid....
