U.S. wont collapse because of same-sex marriage and abortion. Lt. General Michael Flynn
Evangelicals are already reluctant to vote for Trump. The only thing thats giving many of them pause is seeing Hillary Clinton sworn in as President in January 2017.
I view Trump as a way to rid our nation of the Clintons once and for all. We may actually end up with a working Congress if Trump is elected. Thats a good thing. No one will be able to pull either the race or woman card when Congress opposes something unconstitutional Trump does.
Trump could blow any chance he has by picking a pro-abortion/pro-same-sex marriage VP. The following was written by David Lane of the American Renewal Project:

Yes, she’s far from it. That’s why the media “Dan Quayle’d” her relentlessly and unmercifully.
THEY knew what “genius power” we had in our Sarah! Given the chance, she would have obliterated the enemies of God and Liberty.
Who they fear the most, is who we need the most.
Cheers,

Being a lonely conservative, I sometimes wonder. FR these days is mostly libertarian. Most people here can't even provide a coherent definition of conservatism.
My apologies....there was nothing in any of your posts to this thread that would lead me to believe that you would vote for Trump.
I understand others had a different preference...that happens every primary season. I rarely get the candidate I want. Once it is one I put that behind me. I vote for the candidate .....if I like em at all I work for them to win
Thesauri grapes are of those who say they won’t vote for Trump if he pick X,Y,orZ for veep....The veep position is meaningless.
I took Bush as veep because I wanted Reagan
Of course the typical response moving right on past the graveyard...nothing to see here move along see nothing say nothing shhhhh
Nothing to see.... Moving along
Common courtesy as in tow the line at 100% making no observations never being critical and pretending there is nothing at all wrong that this guy is even closely being considered and defended as a valid VP candidate? You’d take time to address my observations and attempt to shut down the message vs the people in this thread twisting and contorting enormous spin into pretzels and say “now nothing wrong with this consideration, no siree”
I seem to recall a whole other cast of supporters that failed 8 years ago to put their candidate on the hot seat through garbage like this and because no one screamed, well it was alright I the candidate may continue and so he was elected.
And for the record I am voting Trump but I don’t blindly support him and go along to get along without calling out an observable trend of shifting to the left
Not even close to what isaid
Then I was mistaken and apologies

Of course not, Jarhead. No one is asking anyone to “blindly” support anyone. I’ve questioned several statements that DJT has made. My questions and suggestions come from a point of having Mr. Trump’s best interests at heart. I’ve never had anyone object to any of my questioning.
There is a difference between that and people taking pot shots, snide remarks, “stealth” digs, etc. AT him. He gets more than enough of that from the Godless communist media without using Jim’s site to add to it.
IMO, it is pointless and distracting to allow oneself to be drawn into continued contention. That is why it is best for everyone to just respect the rules and be gracious about it.
Jim’s House, Jim’s Rules. It really is that simple.
If you feel passionately about your beliefs that he is going to the left, please seriously take Jim’s request and “Take it elsewhere”.
That is not meant as an insult, Jarhead. At least not from me. It’s simply that our nation is in such dire straits that we need to be putting forth our best focus and efforts to support the one man who is willing to take on the global evil, for love of his country and countrymen. Let’s concentrate on helping him all that we can, while at the same time respecting Jim’s wishes.
Thanks.

There are mostly conservatives here at Free Republic, Romulus. I don’t know why a conservative would feel lonely here.
FR is definitely not libertarian. If you read Lew Rockwell’s site, you would know that some positions do overlap with conservatives, others most assuredly do not.
Positions on immigration is one example that comes to mind.
One think of which I am 100% assured: Sarah Palin is the most articulate, brilliant conservative I’ve heard or read since Phyllis Schlafly. IMO, we are blessed to have both women living in our lifetimes.
.
What the MSM says about Sarah is irrelevent.
We know they hate her.
My issue with her is that her political positions seem to be up for sale to the highest bidder lately.
She is definitely not a rock.

I need to add this important qualifier:
If your intent is benign, I have no problem with that.
if it is malintent, then the above comment is applicable.
You know your own heart, Jarhead.
I am not dissatisfied with what Trump has done. His list of judges is generally excellent.
I just don’t believe he really, really understands that continued legal abortion is irreconcilable with the continued existence of the U.S.
Accepted.
I know things are tense all over. I get cranky and short and confused too.
We could all use some humor
Well that’s all fine and good.
Abortion is an issue that requires every one to believe as you do.
Respectfully duly noted
I was an early supporter of Trump here, and I have argued rather forcefully on this site for him. So I'm not sure what you're getting at ... when I criticized your English, it was not to criticize you per se ... it was because I could not figure out what your were saying. I.e. it was practical criticism, not criticizing you for the sake of criticism.
To help you: I am very much behind Trump, always have been, since before it was the cool thing. I implicitly trusted him from the beginning ... that is to say, that I could predict him ... I'm not talking here about affectionate trust.
The General was unimpressive to me. As I wrote, I saw him doing an interview. He seemed to stumble and he was ineffective, seemingly unprepared, reminded me of Admiral Stockdale in his Perot debate. That is my opinion, based on what I heard. He is probably a very good man, and not stupid. I can't help it that he came off weak to me.
That does not mean I don't support Trump. But I don't even know what you were angling at, so unless you can rephrase your question better, I can't help you with whatever your problem is, and no one will be upset, including me, if you take your imaginary ball and go play your court game with someone else.
I'm guessing you mistook me for a Trump detractor ... but I really can not say because you made no sense to me. No ball, no court, just you at your computer, making no sense to me. Either try harder, or let's drop it. Still no ball, still no court. Either rephrase, or don't. I don't care.
