Republican Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas sustained "extensive second- and third-degree burns" on both legs below the knees and both feet — and may miss next week's Republican National Convention as a result, his office said Sunday.
Spokesman Matt Hirsch said Abbott was with his family in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, on Thursday when he was scalded in an accident involving hot water. He declined to provide further details.

Daily wraps for 2-3 weeks - got to be painful. He’s a decent man and his focus was on the recent events in Dallas rather than his condition - he’s a leader. Prayers for quick recovery.
This happened before the press conference in Dallas on Friday. He was the leader in that press conference. Prayers for a fast and complete recovery for the Governor.

No third degree burns from scalding. Still not good.
My husband is 77 and he fell two weeks ago and ripped all the skin off of his left arm. The hospital said it was akin to third degree burns. It is wrapped. They put on an ointment that is made out of silver. Apparently no bacteria can get through silver. Who knew? But he has it changed once a week, not every day like they used to.
Prayers Are up for Governor Abbott. He is a good man.
Probably visiting Yellowstone and walked into a spot where boiling water comes to the surface. Happens there all the time.
