Deadly officer-involved shootings of two black men, one in Louisiana and another in Minnesota, have the attention of the country and that of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Sunday night, a group here in Memphis marched across the city and onto the I-40 bridge.
It started as a peaceful rally at FedExForum with hundreds of people.
After rallying at FedExForum, the crowd marched to police headquarters at 201 Poplar and then continued on, with more people joining them as they went on.
The marchers attempted to go to the I-40 bridge, but police blocked the entrance to the bridge. They eventually found a way onto the bridge via the exit ramp, and police had trouble stopping them.
Traffic was forced to a standstill, and the bridge was closed as police ordered the protesters to exit.
There was still a crowd of marchers who did not make it onto the bridge, as well as a big group still back at FedExForum.
There was a big police presence surrounding the rally and march, including a police helicopter and officers in tactical gear. Interim Police Director Michael Rallings was also at the rally, and things heated up when protestors interrupted him.
There is definitely a West Boro Baptist feel about this group.
Gee you would think blacks are getting killed daily by the man....................It seems it is OK in Chicago to let them kill each other. They never bring that up.

The Westburros don’t have hangers-on in every city. They have to pick themselves up and go to whatever specific site they want trouble at.
what an irony
that is exactly what is going on. then when all their usefulness is done, soros types will toss them to the side of the road left for dead like they are trying to do with us.
Well they won’t toss us. Seems they want to just kill us outright.
That’s a great gif!
Yes it is.
It's time for a separation. Give them their own territory, on the stipulation that they support themselves -- no food stamps, no housing subsidies, no Medicaid, nothing -- and that all trade across the border be on a cash basis.
>> What if an ambulance or fire truck needed through but help going to a black person was unable to get to them? <<
That would be the “justice” part of “no peace no justice.”
Do you mean Kent State?
.
Yeah. Sorry wrong name.
Summary execution for obstructing traffic? What’s with the suggestions for live ammo?
Certainly that would not be right. But tazing them in their ranks, might be fine.
They never cared about John Q. Negro, only about their own name and fame.
Sadly that is exactly what needs to happen and even then I am not sure it would make them realize how dangerous their actions are.
My first memories of the bridge at Memphis was from the early 1950s when my dad’s old car gave up the ghost right in the middle. We were stuck in Memphis for several days while he found a new transmission.
I remember that every time I visit kin in Tennessee.
For the actual black community to rise up against them and call them out, is what we sorely need.
I think even Barack Obama realizes that such a mutiny might be mere inches away.
What in the world do these people think they will have if they get what they say they want?
Yeah but... Multiple people have mentioned live fire. One specified nothing less than lethal. I just don’t know what to say except that this isn’t a police state.
