Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich tells Breitbart News that he would consider being Republican candidate Donald Trumps running mate in Novembers general election. Asked if Trump has asked him to be running mate, Gingrich said, No.
Asked if he would consider being running mate, Gingrich said, Yes. But, I think he has to make that decision.
It is the most extraordinary campaign of its time, the former speaker added. Hes come out of nowhere and defeated 16 other candidates.
If he catches fire he could be much like Reagan in 1980, Gingrich said, noting that Trump could match those record numbers if this thing continues to evolve and people learn how dishonest and unserious Hillary Clinton is.
In conversation, Gingrich habitually rattles off ballot statistics for small nationalistic parties in other parts of the world, from Austria, where the election is so close theyre going to have to re-run it because the establishment stole about 60,000 votes. The two parties that had run the country came in fourth and fifth, to Rome, where Virginia Raggi won the mayoral election heading the populist Five Star Movement. To Great Britain.
The British people heard from the establishment unanimously opposing it and the people just ignored them and rolled over it, he said before he started talking about the election of a schoolteacher in Iceland.

Thanks so much, Rome2000!!
Seriously, Trump would do himself proud by tapping Dan Quayle, who actually came out and endorsed Trump and recommended that Trump select Ohio Senator Rob Portman.
Back in 1988 and 1992, I thought a great deal more highly of Quayle than I did Bush ‘41.
Quayle is an honorable man who genuinely loves his country.
BTW, it’s interesting that Bush ‘43’s Veep Dick Cheney has also done the right thing by endorsing Trump!!
It’s a shame that the Bush Clan and Mittens won’t wake up and support Trump. Nice to hear a little bit more enthusiasm from Paul Ryan this week; he needs to knock some sense into Mittens.
We all need to be aboard the Trump Train and do whatever possible to ensure victory in November!!!
>>Hes done it a hell of a lot better than 99% of the people folks here have assumed were far better.
Conservatives need to get that smug stick out of their ass and learn to actually win first before they sit and toss peanuts at others.

AMEN!!!!!
>>Oh puhhhleaaase lets not go on pretending that ol Donnie espouses the ultimate virtue of conservatism

Please consider making reference to our presumptive nominee Mr. Donald Trump with less sarcasm and more respect, especially here on this 100% PRO Trump site.
Thanks very much.
Newt wants to be on the ticket so bad. However, He would make a great chief of staff serving at the pleasure of the POTUS
>>I would like that pick (Rand Paul), too.
You know, that got me to thinking and remembering how Rand Paul spent approx. a year? going around to talk to black groups, college students, really showing character strength to get in there and speak some realities, truths, and (real) hope. He was building coalitions and trying to expand the party and unify it as well. As far as I remember, these groups responded very favorably to him and his message.
Rand has been VERY QUIET throughout all of the brew ha ha going on about Trumps statements, Paul also is a STRONG believer in USA staying out of where we DON’T belong strong fiscal outlook on spending, strong on SMALL government and would bring along libratarians much more so than Johnson!!! He would be fine with me and I think just as you do it would REALLY tick Cruz off!!!! I think Paul and Trump are on pretty much the same page and I believe that MOST of us have decided we DON’T need a preacher as POTUS we have our churches for our faith!!!! WE NEED to BLOW UP the BEAST of DC!!!! I believe in my gut this will be Trumps pick!!!
I noticed he has been really quite...you just never know what Trump is thinking...he said he needed someone who could get things done and get things through the House and Senate, so just maybe...
I asked a few hints the other day when I sent in some research, but nothing back, so nobody is taking the bait...not that I would say anything, but I’m just a person doing some research...way down the food chain...lol...
You and I are exactly on the same page. You summed it up quite well
I don’t know about the other candidates being vetted but Flynn has said that he is very concerned with some of Trump’s more controversial statements (waterboarding, “taking out” terrorist’s families etc) and always stressing to him the importance of a president being more precise in his use of language. So we will see next week but that would definitely have to be one of the requirements of accepting. It would be just the ticket to show he is deadly serious in a disciplined way about doing this.
Watch that broad brush lady, learn something about the man before you dismiss him. Flynn was running the Defense Intelligence Agency when Obama forced him out because unlike that Kenyan fascist, Flynn WAS willing to say “radical Islamic terrorism”. And as a military officer who was tossed aside by our ‘RAT regime, he probably knows where a lot of bodies are buried too.
I agree with you. The only other general I would like to see on the ticket with Trump would be retired General Peter Pace, USMC, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs during the Bush years. Pace is a proven leader, combat experience, and stands head and shoulders above any ‘RAT VP so far as morality and integrity go, as does Flynn.
I agree that he is very intelligent but he has made questionable statements lately & his time has passed.
I agree that Trump should have a place for Newt in his Administration.
if you had listened to the entirety of that he made some very valid points and it was an extremely sophisticated and intelligent argument.
Perhaps you missed it.
I try to miss as much Newt as possible
go back and read or listen to the entire thing
you clearly only listened to the sound bite
Newt has his problems, but he’s been a genuine Trump supporter early on.
He’ll be a great help in the Trump administration, so I’m not going to throw him under the bus for saying the occasional stupid thing. He’s said quite a few things we can recoil at, but in the main, he’s with us.
