Attorney General Loretta Lynch told law enforcement union leaders Friday that it’s unlikely the Justice Department will pursue hate crime charges in Thursday’s Dallas shooting of police officers, Yahoo News has learned, because the suspect in the crime is dead.
Lynch told the leaders in the 45-minute meeting that a hate crime investigation would be on the table if more suspects are discovered, according to a police union official at the meeting. So far, investigators have said that evidence suggests the suspect, Micah Johnson, a 25-year-old Army veteran, acted alone. “We continue to have faith that the attorney general is going to take this as far as it goes,” the police union official said.
Dallas Police Chief David Brown said Friday morning the suspect in the murders of five police officers said he “wanted to kill white people, especially white officers.” The suspect told police he was not affiliated with any group and that he was upset by recent police shootings of black men. Police later killed him with a robot-operated bomb.
Leaders of the Fraternal Order of Police, which represents more than 300,000 police officers, pressed Lynch during the meeting to consider investigating the crime as a hate crime. They also shared their concerns about the tone of the racially charged debate around police-involved shootings.
The federal hate crimes statute applies to offenders targeting people based upon their “actual or perceived race, color, religion, or national origin.”

I don't either. I bet some of his fellow Black Panthers were providing support. They just knew to scatter once that many officers got involved. And you know the gibsmedats black portion of the population are celebrating big time that whitey got shot. I don't believe the productive, employed, God fearing black people are though. A campaign needs to be established that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that George Soros is behind the #BLM (movement) and needs to be distributed among all their communities. Then we'll see how they feel when they discover a super rich white guy has been manipulating them the whole time.

Hate crime laws should not exist to begin with, that is the real issue.
Hate crime laws are Nazi and Soviet style laws to begin with, criminalizing speech or deeply held beliefs.
Over in the UK and up in Canada saying the wrong things about Muslims or gays will have the “Hate Crimes Police” knocking on your door.
I want my minority benefits, preferred treatment, and special protections since whites are now the minority.

There is no video of a second shooter taken from a hotel window and broadcast nationwide.

We are not stupid. The law addresses the conduct of INDIVIDUALS not groups.
I knew a Haitian guy who was here (probably illegally) working his butt off at every job he could get. He would not let his kids come over until they were fully adult. He did not want “the locals” to have any influence on them during their formative years. That has to tell you something.
