Donald J. Trump Statement
Last nights horrific execution-style shootings of 12 Dallas law enforcement officers five of whom were killed and seven wounded - is an attack on our country. It is a coordinated, premeditated assault on the men and women who keep us safe.
We must restore law and order. We must restore the confidence of our people to be safe and secure in their homes and on the street.
The senseless, tragic deaths of two motorists in Louisiana and Minnesota reminds us how much more needs to be done.
This morning I offer my thoughts and prayers for all of the victims families, and we pray for our brave police officers and first responders who risk their lives to protect us every single day.
Our nation has become too divided. Too many Americans feel like theyve lost hope. Crime is harming too many citizens. Racial tensions have gotten worse, not better. This isnt the American Dream we all want for our children.
This is a time, perhaps more than ever, for strong leadership, love and compassion. We will pull through these tragedies.

Lying Ryan just said that we all need to heal now.
He of course agrees with Obama that more gun control is needed.
(CNN)"A high-profile gun bill pushed by House Republicans leaders remains in limbo because a key bloc of conservatives opposes it and GOP leaders can't muster the votes to pass it.
"House Speaker Paul Ryan acknowledged that he had work to do with his own members to get consensus on his legislation, which is part of anti-terrorism package of measures he and other leaders drafted and planned to vote on this week. "

On Becks show? Will he have his Cheetos goggles on? Call in I guess. But he did say that Trump would have a speaking slot at the Convention. I see nothing good coming from that.

He doesn't know what went down with these 2 shootings and should not be commenting until the facts are out I agree that he should be careful about appearing to pass comment on these incidents. Obama's big mouth has inflamed these incidents.
But, even before assigning responsibility, it's fair to characterize these deaths as "tragic" and "senseless". They didn't have to happen -- the chain of events leading to them could have been broken before they occurred.
Frankly, I'm concerned about the death in MN, if the facts are correct as reported. The victim had a CHL and told the officer that he was armed. He was shot while trying to get out his ID.
We don't know what really happened. I hope the officer was wearing a body camera. But, I think it's really irresponsible to characterize this as a racial incident, as the MN governor has already done.
(An aside: Dayton is a real ass, and always has been. He ran for office multiple times before he finally managed to get in, despite his own family reportedly contributing heavily to his opponents).
CHL holders nationwide should be standing up and demanding an investigation into the shooting in MN.

Yes, that statement is strong, classy, yet sensitive to people on all sides of this debate. Not political or divisive in any way. As opposed to Obama who launched into his gun control diatribe 1 minute and 42 seconds into his statement.

Too PC — sounds like it was written by a handler. Trump needs to come out against the Democrats war on the police and how blacks are its main victims.

Castle was in Minnesota. He didn’t do anything.

We don't know what really happened. I hope the officer was wearing a body camera. I did a bit more searching, and it turns out there was no body camera.
But the passenger managed to start recording immediately afterward, while the officer is still pointing his gun at the victim.
The officer said: ""I told him not to reach for it. I told him to get his hand off it."
So, while it sounds like it may have been a simple miscommunication that escalated, I'm still disturbed that the victim was shot under these circumstances.
If someone told me they had a gun in a non-threatening manner, I wouldn't start shooting before I even see it.

Philando Castile pulled a gun on a homeless man, it is illegal to have a gun as a convicted child molester and felon...resisted arrest, tried to pull weapon...the Police didnt initially pull their weapons until he did. Philando Castile was a CHL holder in MN that was shot during a traffic stop, reportedly while attempting to get out his ID.

Castile. Damn autocorrect.

Philando Castile was a CHL holder in MN that was shot during a traffic stop, reportedly while attempting to get out his ID. There are conflicting stories about that. Smart people wait for facts.

Trump said the two deaths were senseless and tragic, he didn’t say why or how or who’s fault it was. It led to his larger point of racial tension.
