Comey: Hillary’s FBI Testimony Wasn’t Under Oath Or Recorded, But It Would Still Be a Crime To Lie
Breitbart ^ | July 7,2016 | by IAN HANCHETT

During testimony before Congress on Thursday, FBI Director James Comey stated that the FBI’s interview with presumptive Democratic presidential nominee former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was not under oath or recorded, but it still would be a crime to lie to the FBI.

Comey stated that he did not personally interview Clinton, and did not talk to all of the “five or six” who did interview Clinton.

He was then asked, “did she testify or talk to them under oath?” Comey answered, “No.” But added that “it’s still a crime to lie to us.”

When asked if there was a transcript of the interview, Comey stated that there wasn’t one because the interview wasn’t recorded, but there was an analysis of Clinton’s interview.

Why would she lie about how many grandchildren she has ? It was not a serious interview. Trump was correct; the outcome was predetermined. The FBI is an extension of the Obama administration.

"What difference would that make in this case? It does not matter if you put the Clintons under oath. They commit perjury and never get prosecuted."

Forget the Clintons for the moment. What this does is call into question Comey's, and the FBI's credibility (which was allegedly beyond reproach).

The FBI was either careless, or intentional in not putting her under oath or recording the "interview."

Not good for the "straight shooter" Comey. He should resign in shame.

If I ever hear again how honorable and tough Comey is, I’ll laugh in the face of whoever is saying it. Fraud.

How can you prove that she lied if there is not transcript or recording?

Comey: The only crime here is you and your organization trying to foist this off as the investigation of the century while you seemingly do not have the ability to find your ass with both hands.

NO Transcript! Give me a break. Even a security review and QandA with a subject would have had a transcript. Maybe Hoover was right, the organization should dwell on recovering stolen cars and investigating bank robberies. Obviously this level of sophistication is beyond your scope, probably by intent or is it gross negligence. Either or, you should resign

One last albeit minor point, I notice one of your answers today was “that was beyond the scope of our investigation.” IOW, if she said she was busy planning the assassination of Scalia, you would not have asked a question about it? Hey asshat, ever hear of expanding a line of questions when the door is opened. It is called listening to what is said and they asking follow up questions, UNLESS you were dumb or told not to go beyond the script. Were the questions given to her beforehand?? I would not doubt it.

So the HRC interview was just kabuki theatre. Two days later Comey is at a press conference saying no charges.

Yeah, and bear in mind those two days wer 1. a Sunday, and 2. A Federal holiday. This was decided before she even entered the building, no matter what she said, so little wonder, no oath, and no recording/transcript...

Hillary was caught with her pant suit down around her cankles and Comey pulled them back up for her.

Not true. It was a voluntary interview on her part. They don’t have to read her Miranda.

Obviously someone made the decision to not record the 'interview'. Who was it and why did they do it? What possible reason would you not want to record it? I mean say she lied to the FBI, how would you prove it? No, there was no fix in, none at all.

So, she can voluntarily go in for an interview...BUT she still can’t lie to them, whether she isn’t under oath or Mirandized?

Everything you said is true, but again the FBI has a policy not record intreviews and the court systems treats agents notes as gospel truth. It gives the FBI a great deal of flexibility in railroading or letting people off the hook as thier politcal masters see fit.

On July 2, 2016, I posted the following as satirical jab.... but now....

The early morning arrival of black SUVs at the Washington DC residence of Hillary Clinton was nothing more than delivery of the signed Speaking Engagement Contract.

Among her standard most requests, the following were included:

According to her standard speaking contract,

Clinton will remain at the event no longer than 90 minutes.

Any time past the Std. 90 minutes up to 60 min will be billed at double rate of $500,000, no small bills or change;

will pose for no more than 50 photos with no more than 100 people;

and won’t allow any press coverage or video- or audio-taping of her speech.

The only record allowed will be made by a stenographer whose transcription will be given only to Clinton.

No one is to engage in direct eye contact with Mrs Clinton at any time before, during, or after the interview.

Should Mrs Clinton request it, the senior DOJ official present will massage her feet and ankles for as long as required by Mrs Clinton;

remainder of special requirements to remain classified secret, EyesOnly level, NOFOR, absent std $10mil contribution to CFF....

I said on Tuesday and still think it today....he has just $hit all over himself and his agency.

Funny how many people will compromise themselves for the Clintons. And the thing is...it doesn’t really harm the Clintons as much because we’ve known forever they are scum. Some people even think it’s ok to be scum if you’re rich and powerful.

Honestly, I find that hard to believe. In the field, I can see where an interview won't be recorded. But in an office situation, with all the funding and technology that they have access to, I can't believe they would not have something recorded with someone as high profile as Hillary. Recording an interview protects both parties from later false allegations. A recording and transcript lends credibility and transparency to the interview. Anything else here smells of coverup.

In theory (and the key word here is theory) the F.B.I. was not going to make a decision about whether or not to recommend charges against Hillary until after they interviewed her. If that were the case, if they thought there was a possibility that charges would be recommended, they damn sure would have put her under oath, and recorded her testimony, as backup for their recommendation. The fact that they didn't do those things tells you they already knew what the outcome would be, regardless of what Hillary said during her interview.

Should have been recorded because she and her husband are congenital liars, one convicted.
