Woman Facebook live-streams her dying boyfriend seconds after he is shot four times by a cop as his mother says police kept her from her son's deathbed and claims the girlfriend is now missing ===============================================
The devastated mother of a black man who was shot dead by a cop and whose death was live-streamed on Facebook by his girlfriend says she was prevented from seeing him on his deathbed.
Valerie Castile, mother of Philando Castile, 32, who was shot in Falcon Heights, Saint Paul, Minnesota on Wednesday night, also claimed they have been unable to locate Diamond Reynolds, his girlfriend, since she was arrested by police.
The shocking footage of the aftermath of the shooting has sparked protests in Saint Paul, with hundreds of people descending on the Governor of Minnesota's house demanding justice. It is the second controversial police shooting of a black man to emerge in 24 hours.
In the video, Reynolds tells viewers that she and Castile were pulled over for a busted tail light by a 'Chinese police officer'.
She claims the cop, from the St. Anthony Police Department in Falcon Heights, asked Castile, a cafeteria supervisor at a Montessori school in St Paul, to show his license, but then shot him four times while he reached for it.
As she talks, she moves the camera across to show Castile, bloody and losing consciousness, and the cop - still pointing his gun, as her young daughter sits in the back seat.
The police officer, who is yet to be identified, been placed on paid leave.

“But she is so much calmer than the police officer, who is in a panic.”
Almost like one knew they were in the right, and one knew they were screwed for being in the wrong.
Cop sounds like he knows he f'd up to me.
I hate that keep your hands where the cop can see them stuff. It presumes a subservience owed by the citizen to the public servant. Now they have started shining blinding flood lights into your car whether you have the dome on or not.
I’m a middle aged white woman so I have white privilege. No cop assumes I am a threat. Yet.
“Guy in Baton Rouge was charged with having sex with a 15 y.o. when he was 20. It might be illegal, it might be wrong, but its normal biology, not pedophilia.”
O.....K. Slowly stepping away here....
I always have my identification out of the wallet and/or glove department. There’s always a minute or two between the cop pulling one over and the time he eventually gets to the car door. Another terrible story.
Actually, he was. The steering wheel is in front of him and the cops call her "the passenger."
Apparently, the video is backwards.
The video is post-shooting.
The cop is obviously emotional and agitated and you can hear him dropping F bombs. Based on what I’ve heard in the video I would say he knows he made a mistake, but watch and listen for yourself.
I’m amazed at how quickly some people think to pull out their cell phone and start a video recording when they see something like this. This woman did more than that. She started a FB live stream. That takes some practice.
Can somebody tell me why he’s not at the hospital???
The man was shot in the arm. A tourniquet would have made more sense.
It will be billed as an accident and an overreaction, and a prosecutor likely won't take the case unless there is enough political pressure and only then if he is the sort to succumb to such pressure.
Cops generally have wide latitude within the legal system. If there is no deliberate intent shown, then everything will be seen in the light which is most helpful to prevent charges against the officer.
If they do go for charges, I expect it to be "negligent homicide."
Or, like one of them had never shot anyone (or seen anyone get shot) before, let alone three or four times.
You might be right but, I'm just sayin.
“I hate that keep your hands where the cop can see them stuff. It presumes a subservience owed by the citizen to the public servant. “
That’s not subservience. Its politeness and commons sense. Maybe it’ll help you to think of it as an original salute, showing that your hands are empty.
But if it makes you feel better, assert your dominance. You show em who’s boss. lol
Probably because he's dead.
My method results in the window down, and me holding my ID and papers with my hands clearly visible while doing so.
Any other method involves reaching your hands into a glovebox or out of site behind you to get your wallet out. Either of which 100% of the time results in your hands being out of site which can be alarming from the cops perspective.
I think he died on scene. The girlfriend is saying he was shot in the arm, but at that range the bullets probably went through into his body (chest). Supposedly there were 4 shots. Not much chance of him surviving.
Cop: Your taillight is out. License, please. Driver: Okay, but my wallet is next to my licensed pistol. Cop: BLAM. BLAM BLAM BLAM
It will give officers enough pause to give you the benefit of the doubt in a tense situation.
“I am amazed she was able to keep calm and not go berserk. She did all the right stuff. That cop is going to prison for the rest of his life.......................”
Now you know they can’t prove intent- Right?
“The man was shot in the arm. A tourniquet would have made more sense. “
See a cop shoot a man for getting his ID as he was told. Cop screams at you to keep your hands up. You instead ignore the trigger happy cop and dive across the car, closer to the gun for first aid.
