It seems people aren’t just suing the TSA for missing their flights these days.
An 18-year-old partially deaf girl, blind in one eye and with limited ability to walk and talk, spent 17 years of her life travelling between Chattanooga and Memphis for treatment of her brain tumor at a children’s hospital. Her last experience returning home from treatment via the Memphis Airport, however, left her beaten, blooded, and locked up in a Shelby County jail like the potential terrorist the TSA thinks she is.

When Hannah went through the metal detector at the airport, an alarm went off. Disoriented by the noise, she did not immediately cooperate with TSA agents who asked to conduct further screening.
Shirley Cohen tried to inform the agents about her daughter’s disabilities, she told television station WREG, but airport police kept her away. That’s when the situation between Hannah and the TSA officials became violent:
“She’s trying to get away from them but in the next instant, one of them had her down on the ground and hit her head on the floor. There was blood everywhere,” said [Shirley].
The family is suing for a “reasonable sum not exceeding $100,000 and costs.” Reason reports that when asked about it, (an apparently heartless) TSA spokeswoman responded with, “passengers can call ahead of time to learn more about the screening process for their particular needs or medical situation.”
Oh really? Can they call ahead to learn more about how TSA agents have little to no discernment whatsoever between a suspected terrorist and a scared teen with mental and physical disabilities? Can a traveler call to find out just what kind of abuse they are most likely to receive from TSA thugs if they are already unfortunate enough to suffer from a “medical situation” when they are going to fly on a plane?
Versions of this same story come out of airports so often, the nation has sadly gotten used to this open show of innocent Americans being beaten like slaves at airports.

These stupid and overweight TSA asshats need to be shoved off their stools and out the door. Homeland (in)Security, the TSA, the ATF, BLM, DOE, Education, EPA must be eliminated. The states are doing duplicate work, but then the central government people seldom work at all unless its’ to regulate, regulate, regulate.

Gosh! My older brother! My wife gets very upset when I tell some dumb SOS he or even she is a dumb SOS. I seldom get any satisfaction out of it but at least I feel like I have not meekly just surrendered my dignity and rights. At least that is what I am trying to tell myself.
I usually tell them they have a crummy job and that I’d rather shovel sh_t with a spoon than surrender my dignity and principles to have a job like theirs. I guess that is an insult. My only goal is to make them feel as little, insignificant and wormy as they are. I can’t see why she gets upset.
I’ve never been able to hide my feelings no matter how hard I try. I am equally disdainful of many of my fellow travelers as i am the TSA or just about any other authority.

My last flight by commercial air was in 1985. It was an aggravating experience back then. Must be a magnitude worse now.
Thank you. I travel internationally quite a bit and I haven’t experienced any problems. We’ve got TSA Pre-check and that really speeds things up, but it seems that my wife is always pulled out for additional screening. Even with that it’s always been courteous and professional. We came back through Los Angeles from Singapore in April and the customs agent actually smiled and said “welcome home”. That’s kind of nice after sitting in planes or airports for 20 hours.

You must have missed the part about her limited ability to walk or talk. Probably limited ability to write as well. I don’t know if you can talk, write your wishes to the TSA agent, or have pre-made cue cards, but this young lady didn’t know the process and had a limited ability to talk. The mother could have done so if they had not prohibited her from approaching the agent beating the teenager.

Yep and you can bet that a LOT of them have the attitude they are there to get payback on Whitey. I have no doubt many of them enjoy being as intrusive and annoying as possible to white passengers, slowing them down and causing them stress.
