The mother tried to tell them that her daughter might not understand what they wanted from her, but they wouldn’t listen to her, and then ended up beating the crap out of the poor teenager.

The TSA will probably put her on the no fly list, too, which may be a death sentence. The security theater oppresses everyone and costs billions and has any number of Muslim employees. Madness.

And how many people even know about that? It is not exactly front and center on the TSA website. You can find it if you poke around the site--and I wonder how many people even think about consulting the TSA website prior to travel.
There must have been a really bad apple on duty that particular day. The treatment of that poor girl was awful. I'm surprised the family is only suing for $100,000. That raises my respect for the family, since too many people would see the incident as a chance to try to get rich but they don't.
The important thing is all the LEO’s involved went home safely.

What kind of lawyer would file a lawsuit for $100,000 after an episode like this? Good grief - go for the big money and let them come down. You don’t start at the bottom!
I can’t find a date of when this happened. This sounded like it just happened but not if the lawsuit was filed already.
Have any of you ever been through Memphis Airport? One will have to look long and hard to find a non minority with the TSA there.

I remember when there was still decency among the airport personnel. Once I was returning from abroad and at the customs I was asked the motive of my trip, I said “I went to bury my father”. I was not only immediately checked through but he alerted an attendant who put me in first class on my connection. 20 years have gone by, I still remember with gratitude that gentleman. Last time I flew was 7 years ago and it was not a pleasant memory.
