Judicial Watch today requested that the U.S. Department of Justice Office of the Inspector General investigate the meeting yesterday between Bill Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch:
Attorney General Loretta Lynch met privately with former President William J. Clinton on board a parked private plane on the west side of Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, Arizona on June 29, 2016, according to multiple press reports.President Clinton is the spouse of Hillary Rodham Clinton, the former Secretary of State, who is purportedly the subject of a national security crime investigation pertaining to the mishandling of national defense information processed by Mrs. Clintons personal server during her tenure as secretary.
Additionally, there are press reports that a federal public corruption investigation is on-going concerning conflicts of interest and abuse of official government office involving the financial "commitments" to the Clinton Foundation, speaking fees for President Clinton and former Secretary Clinton's official acts. President Clinton may be a target of that investigation.
Attorney General Lynch's meeting with President Clinton creates the appearance of a violation of law, ethical standards and good judgment. Attorney General Lynchs decision to breach the well-defined ethical standards of the Department of Justice and the American legal profession is an outrageous abuse of the public's trust. Her conduct and statements undermine confidence in her ability to objectively investigate and prosecute possible violations of law associated with President Clinton and Secretary Clinton. This incident undermines the public's faith in the fair administration of justice. Simply stated, Attorney General Lynchs June 29, 2016 meeting with former President Clinton creates the broad public impression that "the fix is in."
Judicial Watch requests your immediate and thorough investigation of the facts, circumstances, and appearances of ethical, regulatory and legal violations by Attorney General Lynch in connection with her meeting with former President William J. Clinton - and that you report your findings and recommendations to the American public.
Judicial Watch cites in its complaint 18 USC §§ 202 - 209; Executive Order 12674 on Principles of Ethical Conduct as amended by EO 12731; Uniform Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch, 5 CFR Part 2635; Department of Justice regulations, 5 CFR Part 3801; Department of Justice regulations, 28 CFR Part 45; Executive branch standards of conduct, 5 USC § 735; and, United States Department of Justice Ethics Handbook for On and Off-Duty Conduct, 14 Principles for Ethical Conduct:
"14. Employees shall endeavor to avoid any actions creating the appearance that they are violating the law or the ethical standards set forth in this part. Whether particular circumstances create an appearance that the law or these standards have been violated shall be determined from the perspective of a reasonable person with knowledge of the relevant facts."5 C.F.R 2635.101 (b)
"An employee shall endeavor to avoid any actions creating the appearance that the employee is violating the law or the ethical standards set forth in this part."
5 CFR 2635.101(b)(14)
"Attorney General Loretta Lynch's meeting with Bill Clinton severely undermined the already low public confidence in her agency's criminal investigation of Hillary Clinton," stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. "In addition to this IG investigation, Judicial Watch has already sent Freedom of Information Act requests about this scandalous meeting."
Which golf course did Bill Clinton play at? Surely people at the course recognized him and security was present.
That meeting at the airport was a publicity stunt perpetrated by Obama. It’s his way of telling Americans PIAPS will never be indicted. They also believe in their simple minds Benghazi never happened and server e-mails never happened.
Sadly, Judicial Watch tries very hard, but it never seems to go anywhere. I may be wrong, though.
The Phoenix Phix.
And Fast and Furious and the IRS and the Philly baton holding freaks....and...and...and....
Die GOPe, just die already
Good for Judicial Watch
None of the people Obama has placed as his agency heads, are nothing more than party hacks . There to do Obama’s bidding or they would be fired. They know from the get-go that whatever Obama wants, they do.
An investigation that will certainly be stonewalled.
It was Bill Clinton’s damn server that Hillary was using. He owned it, possessed it in his home, and paid people to administer/maintain the classified material on it.
How TF is he not also a target of the investigation?
He is not just her husband, he should be a co-defendant.
Here’s a thought ... she knows an indictment is unavoidable, the evidence overwhelming. This was a) a courtesy brief to Slick Willie, letting him know what is coming down (pro’ly so Hilly can have a medical emergency) and b) establish a conflict of interest so she must recuse herself and duck having to be the one to make the decision.
Rush pointed out today the int teresting fact that Lynch's career in governm was appointed to her government post by none other than BillyBoy.
She owes him, and he came to collect.
Interesting that between Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch the office of the Attorney General has gone from “Chief law enforcement officer” to “corrupt partisan hack and professional obfuscator”.
Congress needs to act, now or we need to fire every damn one of them.
Bill simply told Lynch that if Hillary is elected she will nominate Lynch for the Supreme Court.
He probably really did talk about the things Lynch said so that both could honestly swear under oath that is the truth.
Knowing the way Bill operates he probablyy threw the idea of the Supreme Court in to make it sound like a casual mention or an afterthought.
It is doubtful that he went any further than that. He probably never mentioned the eMail issue at all.
Lynch is smart enough to know that if she lets the FBI recommend an indictment that Hillary will most likely not be elected and
Lynch will have lost her chance to sit on the Supreme Court.

If Slick Willie said anything about SCOTUS, he is a damned fool and Lynch should have come clean and said so. There is no honor among thieves.
Henceforth, anything Lynch does regarding Clintons will be suspect, as if it wasn’t already.
Why in the world would she agree to such a meeting? She has everything to lose and nothing to gain. Any small talk they purportedly had could have easily taken place within earshot of aides or reporters.
The meeting has already demonstrably affected Lynch’s public statements about the investigation. It is clearly an investigation, but in order to minimize the importance of the meeting, Lynch, when questioned abut the meeting at a press conference, falsely stated that the FBI investigation was a “policy review” of the State Dept. and its practices. This is demonstrably false, and her falsehood is a direct result of trying to cover her own ass in explaining away the meeting.
She needs to step completely off the investigation.
For later.
Excuse me for making a correction but, it is the Clinton’s who had control of all of the FBI files for at least two years of their tenure in the White House. That means that at a minimum the Clinton’s are doing the blackmailing and quite possibly both the Obama administration and the Clinton’s are tightening the blackmail screws to the GOP-e.
That is the problem exactly. They will do NOTHING.
