Two suicide bombers open fire before detonating their explosives at Turkey's biggest airport.
At least 28 people have been killed and 60 wounded in twin explosions at the main airport in Istanbul, the city's govenor has said.
Two attackers opened fire before blowing themselves up at the entrance to Istanbul Ataturk Airport's international terminal, an official said, citing information from the interior ministry.
Police fired shots to try to stop the attackers but they detonated their explosives, the official said.
A witness told NBC News that he saw a police officer diving to tackle one of the attackers - who then detonated his bomb.

I might merge ISIS and al-qaeda together in this, but from the top of my head I remember them taking credit for the Norwegian mass murder that ended up being Breivik and claiming to have shot down a Sharm-el-Sheik - Petersburg plane (even posting fake video) with a missile that ended up being a bomb.
They don’t see these things as atrocities. For them claiming they did it even when it comes out as a lie is just publicity and moral boost.

ISIS doesn’t need to make up or take credit for anything. They create enough atrocities, yes atrocities, all by themselves. Doesn’t make any sense that you would want to blame this on the Kurds, why Kurds. Perhaps AQ, perhaps another Terrorist faction. AQ pretty much bowed to ISIS a while back. AQ’s fight for dominance pretty much disolved after Benghazi.
Well, assuming no Muslims fight being moved (unlikely), you could do it in roughly 2 years if you devoted the entire US domestic flight industry to the task — excepting planes unable to make flights to your island. That might stretch it out a bit.
There is the course the question of what island would be big enough. Australia, maybe, but the Aussies would fight it too, and would surely have allies.

LIVE: Istanbul airport attack: At least 36 people were killed and 140 injured in twin explosions that rocked Ataturk Airport in Istanbul on Wednesday, said senior Turkish officials.
There is a Kurdish terrorist group in Turkey... the Marxist-Leninist PKK... and they are aggressive as they come.
Recall that ISIS was spawned from Zarqawi’s al Tawhid which merged with a group (Ansar al Islam) headed by a Kurd, Mullah Krekar, formerly of Norway. Ansar was a Kurdish group infiltrated by Saddam’s intel people and used by him to target and kill Kurdish leaders the regime feared would work with America.
But this airport attack looks more like ISIS.
