Ted Cruz and John Kasich have a message for Donald J. Trump: They dont care if they are not invited to speak at his convention.
As Mr. Trump tries to plan a convention that will run as smoothly as possible, he said in an interview with The New York Times last week that he would not invite either Mr. Cruz or Mr. Kasich, both former rivals for the Republican presidential nomination, to speak at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland unless they endorsed him.
That is fine, both said on Monday. A spokeswoman for Mr. Cruz, Catherine Frazier, said the Texas senator did not have any expectation about receiving a speaking slot. A spokesman for Mr. Kasich, the governor of Ohio, was similarly indifferent.
We have not sought nor are we expecting a speaking slot at the convention, said the spokesman, Chris Schrimpf.
In Mr. Kasichs case, the situation is even more strained because the convention will take place in his home state. Ordinarily, a governor whose party is hosting a convention in his backyard would play a big role. Not this year.
Mr. Kasichs spokesman said the governor plans to be in and around Cleveland that week. But he has no plans to be involved in anything that has to do with Mr. Trump.
Instead, he will attend events focusing on keeping the Republican majorities in Congress and winning races down ballot, Mr. Schrimpf said.
If Mr. Cruz and Mr. Kasich never set foot in the convention hall, they would hardly be the only Republicans staying away. Other governors, senators, members of Congress and senior party officials are skipping, too. Even some delegates are renouncing their roles.

he showed us how much he really cared when he ignored the peoples votes and when he went to bed with the “establishment elites”...Cruz, it seems has been all talk...Would not keep his word to support the nominee....
Untrustworthy to say the least...
LOL!
Yes, one would expect that vaunted, frigging ground game of Cruz’ should be Exhibit A, at the Convention, for “DON’T COUNT ON IT”.
Exhibit B would be slinging BS about your “delegates taking the win”, or, guaranteeing that “Donald Trump will NEVER win the nomination” should be phrases never spoken.
Anyone expecting Ashley Goldman Cruz
to be a man —or respect his pledge— is a fool.
Ashley Cruz will seek out new hookers dressed as
RATS and judges, or will just snuggle with the RAT Romney
and their sister wives watching TV.
When it counts, no one can count on anyone form the GOP, not just these two, but the whole damned lot of ‘em.
This is the most pitiful political party I have ever seen.
It’s absolute dog sh!t.
Cruz is a small, petty, little man. Kasich is a Democrat. Glad the world will be able to see it now.
I agree...the GOP is a zombie party at this point. 99% useless aside from Jeff Sessions, Lee & several people in the House.
I really, really hope Cruz’s career is over. He has proven himself to be a horrid person.
The only thing Cruz has to look forward to is shutting down the Government
every 6 months or so. Other than that, he is finished.
If ever anyone thought those two favored their country first, they were WRONG.
Gawd, I hope so.
Certainly the donor crowd have dropped Cruz on his head and moved on, to Paul Ryan.
Cruz schlonged himself, blew up his fake good will and burned his chances at VP, or a Supreme Court pick, and ensconced himself in a pool full of Butt Hurt and sour grapes.
Sourgrapes Pubbies are doing everything they can to ditch Trump who won the nomination through the primary process.
Across the aisle the Dems are going out of their way to protect their nominee. There is a current thread that Clinton never ‘personally’ denied additional security for Amb. Stevens. Add in the media on the emails. Nearly every aspect is covered by some faction or another.
Why does the Stupid Party keep having to prove they are?
Why are the Pubbies always pulling defeat from the jaws of victory?
Why do the Pubbies always mount circular firing squads at one of theirs?
It is as if they want Clinton elected.
So why even have a supposed opposition party when it sells out to the other side at every opportunity?
TCruz is playing with fire, and Wendy Davis and Cecile Richards are watching.
I hope DJT is going to get in there, kick ass, and take names....and clean out the whole lot.
WE are now the party...
It is now THE PEOPLE’S PARTY, and DJT will be our president.
Donald J. Trump, the PEOPLE’S PRESIDENT!
To keep the donations rolling in from people who remain fooled.
Dittos to that Rastus! If I even hear one more word out of that globalist fraud and illegal lovers mouth it will be one to many. LEAVE FOR GOOD Teddy Bears, and take your NWO/NAU/Goldman Sachs freaky ‘wife’ with you ya pussy.

I don’t even know that Lee and Sessions have any actual use.
Neither of them are leaders capable of leading others to implement the conservative agenda, neither of them have done anything on their own to change anything. It is still full globalist steam ahead on every conceivable front for America.
They might say nice things from time to time on various media shows, but they certainly do not actually do anything.
It much the same with Cruz. When he first came to the senate, he didn’t clap at a State of the Union speech and looked all unimpressed, and read a Dr. Suess book in the senate for a fashion, and says various flowery conservative thingies on various shows, but when it came down to doing something, what did he do? Advanced the government agenda.
I don’t even know what to say anymore, then entire friggin’ party is entirely useless to everyone other than the democrat party.
A Canadian and a sold out liberal. Big deal.
Seems Ted Cruz is not a man of his word when he pledged to support the GOP nominee. Might as well be ‘crooked Hillary’, the bold faced liar.
For what? Cleveland rioters payroll?
