From TMZ:
Herschel Walker says hes paying the price for supporting Donald Trump telling TMZ Sports hes been dropped from multiple speaking engagements for publicly backing the GOP candidate.
Walker was one of Trumps first big celebrity endorsers praising his former Celebrity Apprentice boss as a brilliant man who will truly make America great again.
But after he went public, Walker says he started getting axed from speaking gigs most recently getting canceled from an event in California because organizers were afraid Walker would attract anti-Trump protesters. ..
Despite the backlash, Walker says he will NOT stop supporting Trump insisting hes the best man for the job.
I knew that UGA education was good for something! Glad to have you aboard greatest collegiate runner of all time. By the way I love your restaurant in Athens!
Traded from Cowboys to the Vikings for much of the Vikings future. It was a success: Walker lost a shoe and returned a kick for a touchdown in his first game in Minnesota while Dallas used the MN picks and players to build a dynasty.
So getting rid of him made the Cowboys better?
Well they got rid of Walker and 4 (mostly late round) draft picks, and in exchange got 5 players and 8 (mostly early round) draft picks. In the long run football is a numbers game, and when you trade fewer late round players for more early round players your team will get better unless you suck at the draft. So getting rid of him didn’t make them better, but getting the Viking’s future certainly did.
Proof is in the pudding. Super Bowl 27, 28, & 30. They never would have got to any of them without the trade.
