Politics Election 2016

Several GOP Business Leaders Are Backing Clinton Democratic presidential candidate to get backing from executives, some of whom cite unease with Trump’s candidacy

By Laura Meckler June 23, 2016 12:09 a.m. ET

More than 50 business executives, including several longtime Republicans, endorsed Hillary Clinton for president on Thursday as her campaign seeks to capitalize on discomfort with Republican Donald Trump.

They include Jim Cicconi, senior executive vice president at AT&T Services Inc., and Dan Akerson, who held top positions at General Motors Co. and Nextel Communications Inc. A Clinton campaign aide provided the list.

The endorsements reflect continuing unease among some Republicans with the presumptive Republican presidential nominee despite his romp through the primary contest.

Mr. Cicconi, who worked in the White House for Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, said he has backed every GOP presidential candidate since 1976. “But this year I think it’s vital to put our country’s well being ahead of party,” he said in a statement provided by the campaign. “Hillary Clinton is experienced, qualified, and will make a fine president. The alternative, I fear, would set our nation on a very dark path.”

These guys are delusional. It is time to sell your stock if you have it invested in any of these companies and tell them why.

These people do not have an ounce of patriotism or integrity.

They prefer a treasonous liar to be president. They must want to move U.S. jobs overseas.

Each executive has their own business with the government. They all have Hillary’s rate card. Find the amount reasonable. And will soon be writing large checks.

AT&T is the biggest $hit company in the world, and Akerson was the turd who led GM into bankruptcy. So far as I am concerned, these two should be hanging on a pair of lamp posts on PA Avenue next year as part of the DC “Trump Take Out The Trash” Program.

When Trump wins, these Republican “executives” will be shtcanned, I am sure. And their former companies will be grovelling at Trumps feet begging for crumbs.

Corporatist leaders identify with D and R labels, but they are all C’s in the end, Corporatists-Big Government, Big Banks and Big Business united.

They all promote a one world system of economics requiring a one world system of government to enable it.

It is time to sell you stock

Another option is to own a few shares so your opinions are listened to as a shareholder.

There are very few “American” corporations doing business in America. Many, if not the vast majority, are actually foreign corporations conducting business in the United States. The directors and upper management in many cases are not Americans. The elites who comprise the directors and upper management of all major corporations world-wide are far more comfortable with their government counterparts and each other than they are with any of us.

When was the last time you hung out with any of these people? When was the last time you saw them at your kids’ school function? Their kids don’t go to your kids’ schools. They don’t live in your neighborhood, or vacation in the same places you do.

The elites in Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo, Moscow, Berlin, London, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Washington and New York all know each other very well and don’t know you from dirt. And the same with their children.

That’s your new world order, and all of us are just insects to them. Pieces of meat to be disposed of as they see fit.
