I remember my first real vacation; a trip to Panama City Florida in 1966 when I was six years old. This was when the interstate system was only about 40 or 50% complete. I spent the entire trip sitting in the front seat between mom and dad looking at the scenery and loved every minute. Getting there has always been half the fun. Now I just have to convince Mrs. Henkster of that. After 30 years of marriage that shouldn’t be too hard, right?

We had that streak where the quizzes had me wearing pink tutus and playing with Barbie dolls. I was getting worried.

yeah! There’s so much beauty to admire across the country and road trips are the way to enjoy them, especially on the back roads. Interstate driving is too hectic and you can’t enjoy the scenery.

I hope you and your son can take that road trip to the Reagan Library. That sounds like great fun!

It’s darn big! I’ve never been that far northwest except flying in to the airport as a first stop on my way to Thailand. It was beautiful flying over the mountains!

Radu, when taking those long winding roundabout trips with hubby, he may resort to “man speak.” Remember: “I thought we’d explore a different route” is man speak for “I’m lost.”

Good evening, Rus! (((hugs)))

Good to see you this evening...as always! Thanks for our beautiful lesson from God’s Word. Am I thinking that you’d love a “Remote Location’’ for a getaway from the crazies there? :D

I’m going as an adult leader for the senior high school church youth mission trip, as I often do. This year we’re headed to Cass Lake, Minnesota, a Native American reservation way up in the Minnesota north woods. I believe it’s actually closer to Winnepeg than Minneapolis.

I’ll tell the mosquitoes everyone says “hi.”

LOL! I’m the one who was usually lost when we took those trips. He knew where he was all the time. I had no clue. I think he knows every goat-path road in this part of TN.
But I’ve known plenty of men that “I thought we’d explore a different route” meant “I’m lost,” over the years. :-)

Maine. Never been to Maine. Let’s go. We can stop at Cooperstown to visit the baseball Hall of Fame on the way.

Wait a sec!

First you talk about Mrs. Henkster and then hubby?!

Methinks the henkster FReeper name is one of those double-secret probation names that you both use.

Am I right?!

Sounds great! I would love to stop in Duluth...and see the famous lift bridge there that is the western beginning...or end point...of Lake Superior!

Was referring to radu’s hubby. Don’t start with that gender thing with me; I still haven’t fully recovered from the previous quizzes.
