CONCLUSION: Politifact did an excellent job proving Trump’s position for him.
Muslims are not interested in assimilating, and in response, liberal scholars are insanely demanding we throw out the ‘melting pot’ model in exchange for a Balkanization, not loyalty to America, model.
Okay - so, last week America was a racist place that wouldn’t let Muslims assimilate.
Today we’re told that Muslims are more American than most Americans.

Well this guy should take a tour of the Muslin Ghetto’s in Europe, they don’t assimilate there any more than they do here.
The Hispanics don’t assimilate much either.
A good check is whether they speak English at home. I have worked with foreigners from all over the world. I find that their accents vary significantly and I can guess who speaks English at home and who doesn’t. It is particularly evident early in the morning and on Mondays.

...and, if they’ve assimilated into the American culture, then why are liberals so concerned about offending them.
People who choose to come to America and become citizens should be able to read, write, vote, etc in English. We need to stop the hyphenated nationalities and print official documents only in English.
Same in England. My mother was British be birth and we were in London before visiting family. Got off the bus to walk the three blocks to ST Paul’s cathedral only to find ourselves surrounded by a gauntlet of Muslim men sitting along the wall in folding chairs, glaring at us. Very uncomfortable and unnerving.
Do you remember an old bumper sticker that read, “America, Love it or Leave it!”? I used to dislike it as a child, thinking that it is ok to find fault in your country and want to stay and fix it. But it does apply to immigrants. Love OUR WAY OF LIFE or don’t come here; there are other countries to go to.
Read the Pew results. I goggled Pew polls for Muslin attitudes, and, it is true, the vast majority seem to be assimilating well, and generally share American values. (About 25% are Republicans).
If Trump is wrong about the vast majority, he may be onto something for a small minority of immigrant Muslims. On any given issue, 10% (give or take) support violence against civilians, to avenge insults to the prophet, or to spread their faith by force. All you need is a small minority to cause disaster and disrupt our society. I can think of no other group that shares these attitudes.

It matters not what the majority of Muslims want or believe. What sets them apart are the attitudes of a minority, which condone the killing of civilians for whatever reason they see as advancing Islam. It’s this minority that has caused havoc around the world. Those few who carry out attacks are sheltered by others.
The Pew results, therefore, are not good news for the rest of us. It will not be until Muslims control their own that threat will pass. Sadly, I see scant evidence that the Muslim community is or will do so soon.
