Good evening, radu...I did pretty well on my list. It’s been a good day.

Did some house cleaning (pretty low down on my list lately) before the chiropractor. Then a quick trip for chocolate milk and vanilla ice cream for floats. Then the Lowes generator guys came. I really, really want a whole house, automatic generator system. A free estimate had me make an appointment. It’s a lot of money, but boy would it be nice. Lot’s of thinking to do.

While the guys were here Mom’s guests came. I think they had a good visit. (They brought ice cream...LOL!) A couple hours and I heard Dot say that Mom looked tired (she knows Mom’s routine) and they left. She made it til a bit after 5p and decided a nap was in order.

She called a couple hours later and asked, “can I come out now?” LOL! I have to do some furniture moving to get her chair right near her...keeping “walking” to only a couple steps. Still hoping that she just had a couple really BAD days. Time will tell, but I still have got to find someone to come in. Our new arrangement is working well, but the need is coming.

Are you still stuck indoors because of the heat and dust?

Got her fed and she’s in the living room watching TV.

I think house cleaning is low on every woman’s list. LOL! But it has to be done at one time or another.

If the power going out is enough of a problem there, one of those generators would be a great thing to have, if you can swing it. Dad had one installed at his house a few months before he died. I’m still in touch with his wife and she said it’s already come in handy a couple of times.
A lot less hassle and MUCH quieter than the gasoline types we have here at the farm.

Wouldn’t you know they’d bring ice cream? LOL! Did you fix them some floats any way or did they prefer making do with bowls full?

Yes, it does sound like the need is coming. Maybe just a couple of bad days now but they’ll pick up tempo with time. You certainly don’t want her to fall and break a bone.

It was a tad cooler today but still pretty warm. At least the humidity is lower and that helps a lot.

I wish the cold front that came through had been a cooler one. The car club I used to belong to is having their annual car show tomorrow and I reeeeeeally wanted to enter Baby. But it’s going to be in the low 90s and I just can’t handle being in the heat all day any more.

I’ll break Baby out of the garage any way and drive it to the show, just to drive it. I want to see who shows up with what cars and to see people I only see at that show. I got to know a lot of nice folks over the years I was with the club and worked the car shows, and it’ll be nice to see them again. Didn’t get to go last year because we were busy getting everything together to head to FL for Dad’s memorial service.

At least it isn’t supposed to rain tomorrow to ruin the show. No rain predicted until Tues. Not too dusty right now since we that big storm roll through a couple of nights ago.

Connie: La Tropa - Mi Son, ( My Son [ The "Son" , { pronounced "sewn", } started the Afro-Cuban sounds in the 1920s and evolved later into the Mambo, Rhumba, Cha-cha-cha, Charanga, Pachanga, Salsa and Timba plus many other variations of the Afro-Cuban sound. Berry Gordy decided early-on to use the Afro-Cuban rhythms in "Motown". Many people are not aware of that. They are hearing Afro-Cuban rhythms but are unaware of that fact. "Our Day Will Come," by "Ruby And The Romantics," for example, is a Cha-cha-cha, as is, "Save The Last Dance For Me" by "Ben E. King". Most disco music has elements of Afro-Cuban rhythms and good dancers will feel comfortable dancing Salsa to disco music. Bet you didn't know any of that! ;-) ] ).

Good morning, Kathy!

*HUGS*

Everything is pretty much planted, but I expect to go out and do some weeding, etc. We stopped at Lowe's earlier today and bought some tomato cages.
