Gretchen Carlson is renewing her push for an AR-15 ban, firing off a series of tweets further criticizing AR-15s and pointed to her daughter’s work with a Newtown charity. Breitbart News reported that Carlson said that AR-15s are not needed “to hunt or kill deer” and suggested they only serve to enable terrorists to carry out their attacks with greater efficiency. She quoted a December 2015 poll showing majority support for an “assault weapons” ban and said, “I’m with the majority today, taking a stand.”
When confronted by Second Amendment supporters on Twitter, Carlson doubled down on her pro-ban stance, sometimes conflating an AR-15 with the 30-round magazines that can be used in such a firearm.

I use a .308 for dear at 1000 yards. ( also handy for other things) But my semi autos are for killing bad guys intent on killing me and my family. I have a constitutional right to do that . Otherwise, I would be out gunned, I also recommend 2000 lumin flash lights attached to the barrel. ( my shot gnns have those. Bad guys are blinded real bad and then are dead. Ban Wahhabis - not guns, idiots.
I know a lot of people thought Trump could destroy the power of the MSM, but they have flat-out circled the wagons on this. A story that should be about radical islamists is now 100% about guns and the evil NRA.

I’ve had my Ruger 556 since 2011.
I am notoriously bad about cleaning after I shoot.
According to my records, I have put 2,800 rounds of Federal .223 through that carbine since I last cleaned it.
It works every time. Stop trying to make me feel guilty about it!
Should get a semi-clone AR-10 kind of rig.
Only 2/3 as dangerous "assault-y" as an AR-15. Which means it would be 1/3 more safer.

It's only common sense...
Name a semi-auto rifle that fires 700 rounds per minute. Semi-autos fire single shots. I tell the gun-ignorant that they're "single-shot" weapons because "single-shot" is more correct than "spray-fire".
Yes its ergonomics make it more effective...but is it orders of magnitude more effective?
The left acts like we jumped from muskets to the AR-15 over night...and like to point out the discrepancy between the two when talking about constitutional intent. But of course there were a lot of technological innovations in between, and some of these have been around for a very long time - a lot earlier than the current era of mass shootings.
That’s why I’d like her to spell it out. Heck, you could buy a fully functional machine gun before the first firearms act. How does she explain the scarcity of mass shootings in that era?
The Second Amendment defends the First Amendment that gives her the freedom to spew her desk. She and others like her needs to understand and remember that fact.
