One month after the San Bernardino terrorist attack that left 14 innocent people dead, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson told advisors that right wing extremists pose just as much of a threat to the country as Islamic extremists.
Johnson made the comments during the Homeland Security Advisory Council’s (HSAC) January meeting. City of Austin Mayor Art Acevedo, whom Johnson appointed to HSAC, shifted the discussion to the threat of right-wing extremists, according to the official meeting minutes.
“Member Acevedo reminded the Council that the threat from right-wing extremists domestically is just as real as the threat from Islamic extremism,” the minutes state.
Another council member, Cardinal Point Strategies CEO Paul Goldenberg, joined the chorus.
“Member Goldenberg seconded Member Acevedo’s remarks and noted the importance of online sites in right wing extremist communities, not only in America but worldwide,” the minutes state.
The meeting was also attended by the co-chairs of HSAC’s Subcommittee on Combating Violent Extremism.
As originally reported by The Daily Caller on Monday, a report published by that subcommittee last week urged DHS to avoid using the words “sharia” and “jihad” (among others) when discussing terrorism, in order to avoid offending Muslims.
At the meeting in January, Subcommittee Co-Chair Adnan Kifayat “emphasized that the report will be respectful of the communities it seeks to engage with, and will take into account those communities specific needs.”
As originally reported by TheDC, one of the current sitting members on the subcommittee is a 25-year-old Syrian immigrant who has consistently disparaged America, free speech and white people on social media. That member, Laila Alawa, also publicly stated that the September 11 attacks “changed the world for good.”
Right wingers is a code word for Christians. The Left wants to purge America of Christianity and they want the aid of the Muslims to do the dirty work for them.

The federal government poses a greater threat to the country than either “right wingers” or “Muslim jihadists.” It is paranoid, and it is powerful.
Note how easy it is for them to say "right-wing extremists", but can't say the words "radical islamists" at all.

There have been various “baits” that have been tried but so far, only welfare, minority race baiting, our educational systems and the woman's movement has worked well. However, the majority of the nations older generation is fiercely opposed to walking into the liberal trap.

Acevedo is a hoot. If he were white instead of Hispanic, he probably wouldn’t have a job.
Austin is currently facing their own form of terrorism - some one or more than one persons are throwing large rocks at the windshields of passing motorists on I-35 from the dozen or so overpasses, particularly in the downtown area. This has been going on for over two years now with close to 90 victims and counting.
Drivers are having their windshields smashed in the middle of driving down the interstate causing untold property damage and sometimes injuries from flying glass and momentary driving impairment.
INSTEAD of doing the obvious and patrolling overpasses for people walking across them holding large rocks, Chief Acevedo has responded by mounting large electronic signs warning people to stay alert for rock throwers.
He doesn’t want to catch the “terrorist” but he wants to cry wolf that there’s a terrorist out there. Sounds like just the sort of person an Obama Homeland Security department needs.
By the way, the Daily Caller is wrong. Acevedo is NOT the Austin Mayor. He’s the Chief of Police.

Republicans in Congress should be calling for his resignation.
