Florida Rep. Alan Grayson used the aftermath of Sundays Islamic terror attack to claim AR-15 semi-automatic rifles can fire 700 rounds per minute.
Security guard Omar Mateen killed 49 people and wounded over 50 others during an attack on a gay nightclub the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. Mr. Grayson, a Democrat, was asked about the massacre and soon turned his attention to the AR-15 rifle.
...
If [Mr. Mateen] was not able to buy a weapon that shoots off 700 rounds in a minute, a lot of those people would still be alive, the congressman said. If somebody like him had nothing worse to deal with than a Glock pistol he might have killed three or four people and not 50. Its way too easy to kill people in America today, and we have to think long and hard about what to do about that.
CNNs Erin Burnett then replied, Youre right about that.
Conrad Close, the conservative editor in chief of American Crossroads, then offered $50,000 to the charity of Mr. Graysons choice if he accomplish the feat,

My 700 round banana clip looks like those gross overgrown fingernails. /sarc
Too bad he didn’t choose a strip club where the NBA or NFL stars hangout. Guaranteed return gunfire.
Wrong the bastards comment is already out there & it ws heard by lots of clueless snowflakes & hoplophobes (person with a sick/perverted fear of weapons or tools) Thew challenge will be forgotten by these dolts.
Want some fun? Go to a gun auction website and search for full auto weapons for sale then look for an M-16 in good condition.
I once got into an argument with an extreme libtard who claimed that ANYONE can buy an automatic weapon over the internet. I then pointed out to him that yea, ALMOST everyone can provided they can pass all the checks along the way and get the proper paperwork from the feds..........
Then once they pass all the crap, all they have to do is come up with the cash......Starting price for an M-16 in "good condition" starts around $20,000.........So I asked the libtard how many would he like to buy....LOL!
I’m using it to grind out a stump right now.
The original M-16 had a cyclic rate of 700+ rpm in full auto mode (If you had a 700+ round magazine and the barrel didn’t melt). The official semi-auto max rate was 45 to 60 rpm, IIRC.

Take away the guns, they’ll switch to explosives.
Say he had 50 round mags, that would mean 14 mag changes. It takes 10 to 15 sec per change it would take 140 sec just to change mags . So yes, using the common core math he could shoot 700 rounds a minuet!
And "The A-Team", except the episode where they hypnotized B.A. Baracus to fall asleep at the word "eclipse" (because he hated to fly, and they had to fly somewhere), and Faceman accidentally invoked his naptime with "Gimme clips!" during a shootout.
Interesting. 720 rounds (24 clips), full auto, jigged up, in just under 4 minutes, barrel grip burning. So, real world, it’s like 180 r/m for full auto, a heavy clip bag and a very hot hand. But, a semi-auto was used.
Enemedia minions know as much about guns as they do about the Holy Bible or real women.
What a piker; I killed Godzilla, The Blob, The Creature From The Black Lagoon, The Crab People, and all the Giant Ants with just one shot from my BB gun.
Had to put a little bit of english on the single BB.
Yah, and BMGs can shoot-down satellites!
CNNs Erin Burnett then replied, Youre right about that.

Erin Burnett is so hot she gets a pass. I watch her with the sound muted.
That’s a BINGO, sir!
700?
I’m sure he meant 7,000.
I once wet the sight on my old AR “ticker” and shot a flying goose 2 miles away!
In three hours he could have done the same damage with a Winchester ‘73.
