At precisely 7 a.m. Sunday Dan Patrick tweeted a photo with the words of Galatians 6:7. The verse reads, "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows."
The Twitterverse circled the tweet, commenting that it was inappropriate and insensitive considering the context of the day's events. The Texas Democratic Party called for Patrick to apologize.
Allen Blakemore with Patrick's office told the Dallas Morning News that the tweet was prescheduled and not a reaction to the shooting, noting, "This was certainly not done with any fore knowledge of the events of the day."
Another verse was tweeted from the account 30 minutes later, this time from Psalm 37:39, which reads, "The Salvation of the righteous come from the Lord; He is their stronghold in time of trouble."

What a democrat to do? Support the Muslims or support the Gays? Two demonrat constituencies going after each other? Oh noes!
I’m still trying to figure out why the “Twitterverse” associates a New Testament quoate with a Muslim terrorist.
If true, that was stupid. Please note I said “if true”.

Blame the gun and Gay haters. And talk about how the gunman doesn’t look at all suspicious. That’s in the local Orlando news right now.
Not much ‘good’ gonna happen at a gay bar in Orland after midnight.
Just sayin’.
Demonrats are in a dilemma.
They just wish this had not been a Islamic follower. Oh, now they cannot blame this on guns or homophobia. And they have to navigate the “Islamophobic” waters.
Which will get some other people jumping on him... though I get the point, he’s now suggesting that the people turn back to the Lord (and be restored to righteousness). Which should be the gospel point.
Heaven knows, if they made a list of “I told you so” people, I probably would be at the head of the list.
But “I told you so” never won any soul to Christ, though it might win a soul to a form of proud religion. Christ “giveth wisdom without reproach.”
You know we’ve been looking at this all wrong. Instead of blaming guns or muslims, we should really be blaming the victims. Kinda like when Conservatives want to draw Muhammad cartoon. We deserved it because we provoked it.
Sounds like the perpetually offended just swerved into something to be offended about. Evidently he posts a bible verse every day.
It’s a shame you can’t tell it like it is in a PC culture with attorneys who live in mansions ready to sue you into bankruptcy at the drop of a hat and a de facto army of limp wristed homos ready to whine and complain on the Internet 24/7 because you wont bend over and have sex with them and have nothing else better to do.
And yet he knows that events have propelled him into the limelight.
Many already have.
Tell it from the angle that your proud flesh would want it told, you mean?
There is such a thing as GRATUITOUS offense.
Just had some Florida “representative” of some sort, black female, ranting about guns and focusing on guns, never once mentioning the muslime coward. . she made no sense in her ranting, rambled on about crazies getting their hands on weapons, weapons that are just like weapons used in war and by soldiers. . .and no background checks. . .whaaaaa. . .this guy had background checks and had two state issued licenses and I suspect he passed even though he was investigated got terrorism ties because of the PC sensitivities, you know, can’t discriminate against muslimes even if they are a threat. . .anyway, this “representative” was a ranting fool.
Liberalism truly is a mental illness.

Sometimes conservatism can be, too — by automatically affecting what it sees as a mirror image. And we then get a folie a deux.
“Im still trying to figure out why the Twitterverse associates a New Testament quoate with a Muslim terrorist.”
To them, there is no difference. Abrahamic religions are considered one and the same, although they take the side of Islamics... bear in mind that they have no particular affinity towards the Islamic screed, but the fact that Muslims are considered automatic victums of Christians. That is the sole reason they prefer Islam over Christians.
Just an awful coincidence....combined with a kind of sickness that decides to opportunistically twist it in order to pounce on it...
Well in a way it’s the kind of proverbial “karma” that the verse itself warned about!
At any rate, the Lord can and will come out smelling like a rose here. The question for us, is do we want to invite Him to help when the asking is good. Because we aren’t serving a proud, snooty, sniffing God.
